Sarkar, who is known for many of his notable works like ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S’, ‘Parineeta’, ‘Mardaani’, and others, was working on a biopic on the life of late Bollywood actress Priya Rajvansh.

While the late filmmaker was expected to start shooting ‘Priya Interrupted’ this year, producer Deepak is shocked and deeply saddened by his passing away.

Actress Kangana Ranaut paid a visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar for the first time with her family. She posted pictures of her visit on Instagram on Monday and shared that she was stunned and speechless with its beauty.

Kangana was accompanied by her sister Rangoli, nephew and mother. In the images, she is posing with her family against the backdrop of the stunning Golden Temple.

On Saturday, Kangana had shared pictures with family members saying that she is happy to spend time with them after recovering from Covid-19 recently.

Actress Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram Story on Tuesday to announce that she has tested negative for Covid-19. "Hello everyone, I have tested negative for covid, I want to say a lot about how I beat the virus but I am told not to offend covid fan clubs... yes there are actually people out there who get offended if you show disrespect towards the virus.... anyways thanks for all your wishes and love," she wrote.

Chennai, March 23 (Ians) Actress Kangana Ranaut, who celebrated her birthday on Tuesday, literally broke into tears at a media interaction in the city while praising Al Vijay, her director in the upcoming political biopic "Thalaivi".

"Never in my life have I met a man who has not made me feel apologetic about my talent. I'm getting emotional, I'm not usually like that, but I want to say that he is one person, who has made me feel good about my talent. Usually the camaraderie they show with male hero, is never shown with an actress. But as a director, I learnt from him how to treat actors and how to show creative partnership," said an emotional Kangana, while discussing Vijay at the media meet.

The tringual film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film also features Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Madhoo and Bhagyashree in key roles.

Mumbai, March 1 (Ians) Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has reminisced about her childhood as it is her birthday month.

Kangana shared a childhood picture on Instagram. In the image, a young Kangana is seen dressed in salwaar kameez.

Alongside the image, she wrote: "My birthday month,growing up grannies told stories that after a sister another girl child birth disappointed everyone but they didn't mind much cos I was very beautiful and marrying me off won't be a big burden, they all laughed at anecdotes but it pierced my heart every-time."

Kangana is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Dhaakad, which is billed as a spy thriller.

Mumbai, Feb 26: Actor Arjun Rampal has completed the shoot for the upcoming action film Dhaakad. He plays the antagonist Rudraveer in the Kangana Ranaut-starrer.

Rampal posted a picture with the entire team of the film on Instagram and captioned it as "one hell of a film".

Manali, Feb 23: Actress Kangana Ranaut has ventured into the food and beverage business by opening a cafe and restaurant in her hometown Manali. On Tuesday, Kangana shared photographs from the location where her cafe will be set up. 

The actress calls this her dream venture, revealing that apart from cinema she is also passionate about food.

Betul (Madhya Pradesh), Feb 19: Former minister in the previous Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh, Sukhdev Panse, has made a derogatory remark against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, calling her a 'Naachney Gaane waali' (which loosely translates into a cheap version of a public entertainer).

Sukhdev Panse said Ranaut, who insulted the farmers protesting at various borders of New Delhi, had met with a Congress-led protest during the shoot of her upcoming spy thriller Dhaakad leading to police action on the political party workers.

When some leaders from the Congress opposed her, the state police resorted to physically assaulting the Congress workers.

Kangana was at Sarni in the Betul district where the Congress protest took place last week.

Police used force on the Congress leaders and also registered cases against them. On Thursday, Congress workers took out a rally under the leadership of Panse and submitted a memorandum to the District Collector.

Kangana Ranaut will essay the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in an upcoming political drama. The actress says the yet-untitled film is not a biopic and has also revealed that many prominent actors will be a part of the upcoming project.  

"Yes, we are working on the project and the script is in final stages. It is not the biopic of Indira Gandhi, it is a grand period film, to be precise a political drama that will help my generation to understand (the) socio-political landscape of current India," said Kangana, in a statement released by her office.

"Many prominent actors will be part of this film and of course I am looking forward to playing the most iconic leader that we have had in the history of Indian politics," said the actress.

Kangana added that "the film is based on a book", although she did not elaborate on which written work.

Arjun plays the antagonist in the spy thriller film starring Kangana Ranaut. His character is named Rudraveer.
