A most unusual Christian film is Friends For Life. In the first place material things are scorned and the villain of the piece is a greedy developer. Secondly some of God's lesser creatures are shown to have dignity and worth and should be protected.
Michael Flynn who's a decent enough fellow has just lost his wife and with his son away in a big city he's awful lonely on his small farm. He was a lawyer at one time, but never really liked it. When the funeral is over and the family has left it really hits him just how alone he is.
Fortunately God sends a visiting angel played by Jimmy Chungga who is on a Clarence like mission to show Flynn what a wonderful life he could have instead of what he's already lived. It starts with Flynn taking over the feeding of a female wolf and when that's done, care for the cubs she lives when someone working for the greedy developer kills the mother.
Friends For Life has the feel of a television pilot. It also looks like an episode of Touched By An Angel. Still it's not too bad to take and could be viewed by more than church audiences.
