Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, tentatively titled Thalaivar 170, is generating a lot of excitement among fans as the makers keep announcing new additions to the cast. The latest actors to join the project are Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati, who are both known for their versatile and powerful performances in various languages. Lyca Productions, the banner behind the film, took to social media to welcome the actors on board and shared their posters.

Fahadh Faasil, who is one of the most acclaimed actors in Malayalam cinema, will be making his Tamil debut with Thalaivar 170. James Hawes‘ Holocaust drama “One Life” will be the American Express Gala at the 67th BFI London Film Festival.

The film tells the true story of Nicholas ‘Nicky’ Winton, a young London broker who, in the months leading up to WWII, rescued 669 children from the Nazis. Fifty years later, in 1988, Winton is haunted by the fate of the children he wasn’t able to bring to safety in England. It’s not until a live television show “That’s Life” surprises him with the surviving children – now adults – seated all around him that he can finally make peace with the loss he had carried for five decades.

The cast includes Anthony Hopkins, Johnny Flynn, Lena Olin, Romola Garai, Alex Sharp, Marthe Keller, Jonathan Pryce and Helena Bonham-Carter.

New movie news! Oh My Kadavule, the Tamil slice of life, fantasy tale will soon be adapted in Hindi. Helmed by the film’s original director Ashwath Marimuthu the critical hit will be produced by Endemol Shine India, Merry Go Round Studios and Mumbai Talkeez. This will be the first Hindi film for Ashwath Marimuthu who is also currently directing the Telugu version of the hit film.

Endemol Shine India, Umesh Shukla, Ashish Wagh and Parag Desai are in the process of deciding the cast and the title of the Hindi film. The Hindi film will be written and creatively produced by Umesh Shukla.

Umesh Shukla of Merry Go Round Studios says, “Oh My Kadavule’ was a massive hit in the South and it resonates with my style of filmmaking. It is a beautiful story that has a universal appeal, and we cannot wait to recreate the same magic for the Hindi audiences.

Filmmaker Umesh Shukla will back the Bollywood remake of the Tamil hit, Oh My Kadavule, to be directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.

Sky has acquired “The Secret Garden” from Studiocanal and will release the film in U.K. and Ireland cinemas and Sky Cinema channels on Oct. 23.

Directed by three-time BAFTA winner Marc Munden (“National Treasure”) and produced by David Heyman (“Harry Potter” franchise) and Rosie Alison (“Paddington”), “The Secret Garden” is an adaptation of the classic children’s novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It stars Dixie Egerickx (“Summerland”), Oscar and BAFTA winner Colin Firth (“The King’s Speech”) and BAFTA winner Julie Walters (“Mamma Mia”).
