Featured review
This might not mean anything to the dear reader of this review, but it seems like I do have a tendency to pick at least one movie, that is so awful, that I really wouldn't want anyone to have to endure this pain, the agony and everything else that comes with a so called movie ... But let's reprise shall we (well you actually should say no, but you don't know better ... yet!):
While I won't go into the story this time (as I did with a Berlinale movie I watched there @ the 2006 event), I will state a few points. First of all, this movie does not have any dialog. This movie does not have a spoken narration (it does have a subtitled narration though). It further does not have any sound effects and/or music. It doesn't have any sound most of the time. From time to time (it seems after 10 minutes or so) you get the ambient sound, that get's hacked away at free will, for you to enjoy "the silence" again!
The movie has production values, that even Ed Wood ... would dismiss! A horse that is being clearly dragged by a line to run towards the camera, is running "free" in the master shot (i.e. the wider shot that shows you the complete "action" or area of action). To talk about performances would be insulting to any actor (ok maybe almost any, but you can't really compare anything to a real movie with this "work of art" here). And while there's not really anything explicit shown, the narration itself tries to shock us a few times (or maybe wake us up? I can't really answer this for sure).
If you have tendencies that make you want to hurt yourself, I'd really recommend you to go see a doctor. But please for the love of God, don't watch this movie. You have been warned! And I'm still trying to forget it (from the dreadful beginning, up to the convoluted mess through to the end ...)
