This superficial Swedish 'comedy'(?) never rises above the trite. Littered with relatively meandering situations, this moldy ole plot about so-called 'faithful' partners - celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary and discovering secrets about each other, flounders in the melting pot. The resolutions set up for this undercooked situation comedy are as overbaked and simplistic as both of the titles given to this relative time waster.
It's mostly for the easily pleased (and from some of the advance 'press releases' there are a few of those) - fans of the performers - or those wanting movie makers that tick all the trendy 'inclusive' boxes only.
If you find matrimonial hypocrisy ultimately funny, then you might last the distance. Otherwise, this could even be watched at double speed, that is, if it has any real need to be watched at all. Watch 'Babette's Feast' again instead.
