The blood splattered on the wall in one scene was actually red Crayola paint.
Writer/director Emil Hyde wound up playing the small role of a motel clerk after the original actor who was cast in the part failed to show up the day the scene was shot.
Christian Lopez as the young Tyler was a last minute piece of casting.
