A highly magnificent movie... Director Tufan Tastan, accompanied by acclaimed Turkish writer Baris Bicakci in scripting, presents a successful example of a mixed-type movie consisting of detective story, dark humour and political satire, which contains funny and significant sub-texts.
This is one of rare and long-anticipated examples of succesful comedy works in Turkey, including a local story capable to contact the audience on all sides of the world.

Baris Bicakci and Tufan Tastan put their souls into this film. The script of the movie is finely crafted. The cinematography is excellent, the sound engineering is excellent... The editing did a very good job in single location shots. With all its political references and references that touch our lives, You Ben Lenin is a wonderful gift for the last period of Turkish cinema.

I realy like this film. It is simple, easy going and of high quality. The acting is so good, especially the facial expressions of the small town characters during the interrogation. From time to time it is funny like when the tea-man said, 'why does one cop have to be the bad cop who must have a family problem, and the other one who must be obsessed, to be the good cop?'
