I really adore this show and Sanrio. Like Shunsuke (Shushu), I love Hello Kitty, and like Ryo, I love Little Twin Stars. I also love Pekkle the Duck, Pochacco the Pup, and Monkichi the Monkey. I did not consider this series to be commercial in any way. I appreciate how it illustrates that people need a group to properly express themselves in order to be at ease with themselves.

I enjoy how they tell the story behind why our male stars like the characters they love. Kouta's backstory almost had me crying, though I never cry at sad scenes. I, at 36 years old, still enjoy cartoons and characters that many consider appropriate for kindergarteners, and I feel no guilt about it. Also, I really wish the series was on a North American DVD.
