James Gunn’s Dcu is gradually taking shape, and while details remain limited, we have a sense of his direction. Some key roles have been cast, but many—including major characters—are still up for grabs, with actors actively expressing interest.
One significant role yet to be cast is Dick Grayson. It’s unclear whether Gunn plans to introduce him as Robin or Nightwing, as this depends on the timeline he chooses for the Dcu.
If Gunn opts for Nightwing, one actor with experience voicing the character is eager to take on the role in live-action. Want to know who? Keep reading to find out!
Remember the Gotham Knights video game? It was originally seen as a spiritual successor to the Arkham series, but ended up being its own project, despite sharing some narrative elements.

James Gunn’s Dcu is slowly shaping up to be a very interesting fictional universe and while we still don’t know much, we have an idea of where Gunn is taking it. Some roles have been cast, but there is still a large number of roles – even major ones – that have not been cast and actors are offering themselves to Gunn for such roles.
One of the major roles that still hasn’t been cast is that of Dick Grayson, although we still don’t know whether he is going to be Robin or Nightwing in the mainstream Dcu, which depends on which timeline Gunn wants to create.
But, if it turns out that Gunn will be going for Nightwing and not Robin, there is one actor who already has experience with playing Nightwing and who would like to reprise his role in Gunn’s live-action projects. Who is it?...

Most of you will know Elizabeth Henstridge best for her role as Jemma Simmons in Marvel Television's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but she's also stepped behind the camera to helm episodes of that, Gotham Knights, and Superman & Lois.
Today, ComicBook.com brings word that the actor will play Lex Luthor's daughter in season 4! The character doesn't have a name yet but it's said that "Luthor is fixated on reuniting with his daughter, who left in her teens when Lex was convicted of murder and went to jail."
While Henstridge will direct episode five of Superman & Lois, how many instalments of the 10-episode fourth and final season she'll appear in as this character is unclear.
Talking about the casting, executive producer Brent Fletcher said, "I worked with her on Agents of Shield, and she's unbelievable. She's an unbelievable actress and just the greatest person to work with.

Matt Reeves’ The Batman was a massive success, but despite its acclaim, it won’t connect with James Gunn’s new Dcu, which will feature a different Batman. While Gunn is crafting his own Batman films for the Dcu, Reeves is focused on his own trilogy at Warner Bros. It will be interesting to see how these two universes diverge, especially given the success of Reeves’ film.
Reeves has the creative freedom to craft his own narratives, and based on the impressive reception of the first movie, fans are excited about what’s to come. In a recent Deadline interview, Reeves dropped some intriguing hints about the second film in his series. These clues have led some fans to believe that Reeves might be bringing a major villainous organization to the big screen.

As everyone is aware by now, Matt Reeves’ The Batman was a huge hit. However, even though it was always set in a different universe from the main Dceu at the time, it appears that it is also not going to be connected to James Gunn’s new Dcu, as it will have another Batman there.
While Gunn is preparing his own Batman films that will be a part of the Dcu, Matt Reeves is still working on his trilogy of Batman films at Warner. It remains to be seen how these two universes conflict, especially since Reeves’ film was such a big hit, but the important thing to note is that they are going to be very different.

Back in the 1890s, writer Oscar Wilde brought the world a story called The Picture of Dorian Gray – and now the Netflix streaming service has announced that they’re teaming up with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television on a new TV series called The Grays, which ComicBook.com hears will be “a contemporary take on the Oscar Wilde classic about our fascination with eternal youth set against the backdrop of the modern beauty industry.“
The Picture of Dorian Gray has the following description: Combining elements of the Gothic horror novel and decadent French fiction, the book centers on a striking premise: As Dorian Gray sinks into a life of crime and gross sensuality, his body retains perfect youth and vigor while his recently painted portrait grows day by day into a hideous record of evil, which he must keep hidden from the world.

Video games often carry high expectations with them These are fueled by strong PR marketing, players’ hype, and promises that seem otherworldly. However, not every game lives up to those promises, leaving players feeling let down and questioning whether their purchase was worth the cost.
This sentiment often stems from many things, including a buggy release, underwhelming, repetitive gameplay, and lackluster overall content and story that doesn’t justify a hefty price behind the title. These five games are prime examples of over-promising and under-delivering.

Players would take on the role of Colonial Marines fighting infamous Xenomorphs and mercenaries in a campaign mode that could be taken on solo or in a cooperative mode.

Following the failure of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and several other games under WB Games, the company is considering a new strategy. According to a recent WB Discovery investor meeting, the video game division is looking to license major titles to avoid further financial losses.
Consequently, the company is contemplating permitting studios outside its group to develop titles such as Batman, Harry Potter, Mortal Kombat, and others. Players were thrilled to hear this and suggested that studios like Insomniac take control of these characters.

Gotham Knights has been getting some attention again, especially since Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is pretty much dead, with abysmal player counts. For the past three months, the game has been averaging a peak player count of only around 600 players on Steam.
As fans look to other DC gaming properties, comparisons between the two games come to mind. Let’s see how well both games hold up in 2024, and which one is still the best Batman-adjacent game.
Gotham Knights Also Had a Rocky Launch
When Gotham Knights launched in late 2022, it was met with a mixed to negative reception from fans and critics.
Many fans were excited to see the Bat-Family members step into the spotlight this time, but the game suffered from technical issues and lackluster gameplay that left a lot to be desired. The open world also felt empty and under-detailed, with little to do.

It's a light year for comic book movies (relatively speaking), in no small part because the Marvel Cinematic Universe is only bringing us "Deadpool & Wolverine," while the DC slate is also slim. But DC's lone release this year will pack a punch: "Joker: Folie a Deux," aka "Joker 2," is coming down the pipeline in October. As the sequel to the biggest R-rated movie in cinema history, all eyes are on this one. And not just because Joaquin Phoenix is back as Arthur Fleck, but because Lady Gaga is playing Harley Quinn as well. To add to the intrigue, it looks like another classic DC Comics villain is going to be involved in the proceedings.
A new full-length trailer for "Joker: Folie a Deux" dropped today, which offers a better sense of the musical-driven chaos that director Todd Phillips is bringing to the sequel. The captions contain a pretty...

Paramount Pictures has picked up the screenplay for erotic thriller Over Asking, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
In what is described as a highly competitive situation, the studio landed the feature spec script from Caroline Dries (Batwoman). The movie’s story focuses on the frightening aftermath that follows a chance encounter between a seemingly perfect couple and a powerful female attorney.
Karen Rosenfelt serves as producer on the project that does not yet have a director attached.
Dries served as showrunner on The CW series Batwoman and was on executive producer for The Vampire Diaries. Her other television credits include Smallville, Melrose Place, Arrow and Gotham Knights.
Rosenfelt was credited as an executive producer on the first Twilight movie and served as producer on the franchise’s subsequent films. She has also worked on such films as The Devil Wears Prada, Marley & Me, Me Before You and The New Mutants.

Players have had high expectations from DC games after the Arkhan Trilogy, and not many games were able to satisfy the fans. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights are arguably the most disappointing titles released by DC ever.

To many Batman fans, the ultimate version of the character on the screen was the voice interpretation by the late Kevin Conroy. Conroy played Batman in numerous adaptations, but it all started with Batman: The Animated Series, arguably the best animated series in history. Conroy passed away in 2022 due to cancer and his last performance as The Dark Knight will be in Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Three, which is a posthumous appearance that will once again reunite Conroy’s Batman with Mark Hamill’s Joker.
Although Conroy actually got the chance to appear as a live-action version of Batman in the Batwoman episode “Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Two,” which was part of a major Arrowverse crossover, he was supposed to make another live-action appearance in the canceled one-season show, Gotham Knights, according to the series’ showrunners.

Gotham Knights only managed to last 13 episodes before being cancelled by The CW, but given the poor reviews and ratings, there wasn't too much of an outcry from DC fans.
A group of Batman's sidekicks protecting Gotham City in the wake of his death is a cool premise, but ditching the costumes gave the series a mid-2000s feel which alienated a lot of comic book readers from the start.
We've previously heard rumblings that Jensen Ackles was being eyed to play Batman. Now, showrunners James Stoteraux and Chad Fiveash have confirmed they were given the green light to include the Dark Knight in at least one episode.

Rocksteady Games and WB Games have probably made history by not managing the launch of a live-service game. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League disappointed fans almost to a molecular level. After the Batman Arkham trilogy, it seems that this studio could do no wrong.
Unfortunately, the studio betrayed player loyalty by creating a looter-shooter action game that lacked heart and soul. Thanks to a streamer that almost specialized in this game, players know about hackers and a possible new leaked character, but WB Games chose to attack this streamer instead of fixing the hacker problem.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will end up being free-to-play or just close servers if WB Games keep making these horrible decisions Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League streamer gets a DMCA from WB Games for reporting hackers.

WB Games makes two very criticized DC Comics games after selling millions of copies of Hogwarts Legacy. Fans have been infuriated by the representation of these characters in games like Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
This Rocksteady title did not even make it to the reviewers because the studio was aware that the score would add even more bad press to the already hated title. Aside from the lack of sales and the bad reputation, the studio is betting on more content for the game in the upcoming months, with new story missions that could change it all.
Several changes in the story are coming to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League The Flash will be very important in upcoming seasons of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
WB Games really needs a win with DC Comics games; the two latest superhero universe titles disappointed fans.

Millions of cancelled games have reached a critical stage, with some projects facing cancellation just months from launch. The recently discovered Project Apollo was a cancelled title in Christopher Nolan’s Batman universe. Monolith, the creators of Shadow of Mordor, developed this game prior to the Arkham franchise.
Before the Rocksteady success of the Arkham series, this cancelled Batman game would have been the first title to have the famous Nemesis System. This game looks better than Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Fans are very impressed with the footage that was released.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has piqued the interests of gamers who are fans of the genre and source material, however, the leaks that came beforehand and the live-service structure taken by Rocksteady Studios may be a recipe for disaster, especially with recent stats of the game. This project could be another cautionary tale of how not to develop a superhero game.
DC fans were hyped to see a video game adaptation of Suicide Squad, with their rising popularity due to the live-action films which were received with mixed reactions, this project is no different. The game was intended to have more post-launch content which would indicate a long-term plan with support from developers and an over-arching storyline, but it all seems to be in vain with recent stats.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is easily one of the biggest, if not the biggest, disappointments of 2024. Despite the years of hype, Rocksteady’s latest anti-hero romp has not landed well among fans. Games bombing on release is not new; we had Cyberpunk 2077 after all.
However, while Cyberpunk 2077 suffered a myriad of technical issues, the core narrative and gameplay were solid. The same can’t be said for Suicide Squad, and so it appears Sony is bowing their heads once more and doing the unthinkable: refunds.

“Oppenheimer” cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema won Feature Film at the 38th ASC Awards, March 3 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The Oscar favorite beat the other four Oscar nominees: “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Maestro,” Poor Things,” and “El Conde”.
This marked van Hoytema’s first ASC win after three nominations (including “Dunkirk” and “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”) and positions the Dutch-Swedish cinematographer for his first Oscar win. Significantly, “Oppenheimer” represents the culmination of his experimental IMAX collaboration with director Christopher Nolan. The duo achieved a new kind of intimate spectacle with this psychological thriller about physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer (Best Actor nominee Cillian Murphy), the “father of the atomic bomb.” Van Hoytema used the large-format IMAX camera to explore the landscape of faces; namely, Oppenheimer’s in color from his perspective and Salieri-like adversary Admiral Lewis Strauss’ (Best Supporting Actor nominee Robert Downey Jr.) in black-and-white from his.

Ever since Rocksteady unleashed Suicide Squad on the gaming world, DC fans have started to gain a little more appreciation for another recent game based on the comics’ characters. Although the reception for Gotham Knights was mixed when it was released nearly two years ago, WB Games Montreal’s title is being considered relatively better than the latest take on Task Force X.
Now, it seems like the developer is working on its next game, and despite the lack of hope from the community, it can’t do much worse than the disappointment that the original Arkhamverse studio recently came up with.

DC has been damaged beyond recognition for quite some time, especially in films and video games like Gotham Knights and the newest title, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Comic book films and the superhero genre have taken the world by storm, but not everything is bulletproof from criticism. The Dceu was a failed shared universe that got brutal treatment by fans and critics alike.
Failures on these fronts of the entertainment industry require a deep dive into how Warner Bros. and a new DC continuity can avoid the same fate.
The movies can be hard to defend because of constant meddling by studios behind the scenes, which causes problems for the production. Trimming the runtime seriously damaged movies like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad but still garnered support from devoted fans.

During a recent earnings call, Warner Bros. Discover CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels made one of the first official statements regarding Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s previously mysterious sales. While his statements may not shock those who are aware of the game’s status, they are surprising in terms of what they may say about the future of live service games.
Speaking briefly on the subject, Wiedenfels mentioned that Kill the Justice League’s sales fell “short of our expectations.” Though Wiedenfels did not reveal the exact sales/revenue figures at that time, that’s about as bluntly as you’ll hear an executive from a major company refer to a product’s disappointing performance during such an event.
While the full Kill the Justice League sales figures haven’t been revealed yet, all available information points towards a historic failure. On Steam, the game’s concurrent player count figure peaked at just over 13,000 users,...

One of the many controversial aspects of the Suicide Squad game by Rocksteady Studios is how it handles the eventual fate of the beloved DC character Batman. Many fans of The Dark Knight expressed their frustration with how disrespectfully Kill the Justice League treats him, and although his ending was clearly hinted at from the title of the game, the way it’s executed doesn’t sit right with the community.
However, for those looking to experience better Gotham stories, Warner Bros. Games is celebrating Bruce Wayne’s birthday week with an extraordinary sale on Steam, which includes plenty of video games that feature The Caped Crusader at massive discounts.

There are much better video games featuring Batman than Suicide Squad: KtJL.
Although it is still not exactly clear whether Bruce Wayne was canonically born on April 7 or February 19, Warner Bros.
