Exclusive: Rick Cosnett is joining the upcoming seventh season of 9-1-1 in a key recurring role. In its first season on ABC after its cancellation by Fox, the new season is set on a cruise ship with harrowing experiences ahead.

A recently released teaser trailer (you can watch it below) gives us a glimpse of what’s ahead. Having boarded a cruise ship during the Season 6 finale for a secret honeymoon vacation, Athena (Angela Bassett) and Bobby (Peter Krause) are at the center of the action when terrorists take over their ship.

Cosnett guest stars in a key arc as charismatic cruise director Julian Enes.

Per the premiere episode description: “Athena and Bobby set off on their honeymoon cruise, but when duty calls, their vacation is put on hold. Meanwhile, a fighter jet traps a civilian, and an unusual incident leaves a couple stuck together.”

Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired worldwide rights to Jay Arnold’s award-winning LGBTQ+ romantic drama feature “Shoulder Dance” and will launch sales at the Cannes film market.

The film stars Matt Dallas (“Kyle Xy”), Rick Cosnett (“The Flash”), Taylor Frey (“It Chapter Two”), Samuel Larsen (“Glee”) and Maggie Geha (“Gotham”). Arnold (“What Happens Next”) directed from his original screenplay.

The deal was negotiated between Breaking Glass Pictures CEO Rich Wolff, Amanda Rae Simon, Esq., COO Susan Helfrich, Arnold, and Ethan Bearman, Esq., The Bearman Firm.

“Shoulder Dance” follows gay and straight best friends Ira (Dallas) and Roger (Cosnett) who haven’t seen each other in 24 years. When Roger arrives unexpectedly for the weekend, with his girlfriend Lilly (Geha), long suppressed desires dangerously resurface and the strength of Ira’s long-term relationship with Josh (Frey) is tested.

The film is produced by Arnold, Rod Hamilton and Frank Lomento. The consulting producer is Mark Bobadilla.

Exclusive: Rick Cosnett (The Flash) has joined the cast of Apple TV+’s Mrs. American Pie in a recurring role. Mrs. American Pie is an upcoming female-led comedy series following Maxine Simmons (Kristine Wiig) as she attempts to secure a place in Palm Beach high society. Cosnett will play Sergeant Tom Sanka. Based on Juliet McDaniel’s book, Mrs. American Pie hails from creator Abe Sylvia (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) and director Tate Taylor (Breaking News in Yuba County). Cosnett joins a cast that includes Wiig, Ricky Martin, Alison Janney, and Laura Dern, who also executive produces. Cosnett will also be seen soon in the upcoming feature Shoulder Dance. On television, he can be seen recurring on The Flash. Previous TV credits are Quantico and Vampire Diaries. He’s repped by Innovative Artists and manager Bob McGowan.

Exclusive: James DuMont (The Righteous Gemstones), Christopher James Baker (Ozark), Manny Galan (City on a Hill), Juvian Marquez (Power Book II: Ghost) and Anirudh Pisharody (9-1-1) will round out the cast of the thriller Unit 234, from director Andy Tennant, which is currently in production in the Cayman Islands. The quintet will star alongside previously announced cast members including Isabelle Fuhrman, Don Johnson and Jack Huston.
