Alice's name is a nod to Alice in Wonderland, in which the main character shrinks down and goes into a tea pot.
Ramaa Mosley first learned about Tim Macy after typing "best Short Story" on google. The two later met online and decided to make the short story that was to be "The Brass Teapot" into a comic book before adapting it to film.

The green 1974 Pinto was purchased from actor Justin James Lang.
