In the multiplayer, blood can stain the environment after death, mild blood along with blood puddles for dead characters.

Despite the normal levels of violence being strong, but not over the top, some of the quick time events show first person and extremely gruesome executions. While the content visible is mild, the intentions and implications are absolutely horrifying. This makes battlefield 3 arguably the most violent battlefield game to date.
