At the end of the previous film, Death Race 2 (2010), Goldberg says "I'm sorry Luke didn't live to see this", then Lists says "I'm not so sure he didn't". In the car, Katrina also realizes that Frankenstein is actually Carl Lucas because he gave the same reply that she gave him on the question "Do you have a name?" ("Of course I do"). So, if at least Katrina realizes that Frankenstein is actually Carl Lucas, then why is she so shocked to see him alive in this film? And why would she not tell Goldberg and Lists?
(at about 40:00 into the film) In the first race, the big flatbed truck with the huge cannon gets blown up due to hitting a dune too hard and flipping over. Only a few scenes later in this same race, as they are entering into a village, the truck that was blown up is still in the race.
(at about 20:00 into the film) While Goldberg is speaking to Frankenstein about lying and betraying the team, Frankenstein takes off his mask, turns around and throws it on the hood and his body is facing the front of the car while looking at Goldberg and is not moving. In the next scene, he is leaning back against his car with his arms crossed.
There are supposed to be 10 cars/trucks in the race, but as they reveal the start line from behind the hill (after Lists' monologue) you ELEVEN vehicles. Then after Jackal jumps the start from his position second from the right (from camera perspective) and is killed they cut back to the start line as they reset the lights and there no vehicle sized spaces where he was positioned, as all the vehicles are now spread out.
When Luke is turning into the tunnel at the end of the race he puts one hand on the shifter but in the next scene the hand is back on the steering wheel.
In the film, 16 women fight to the death until there are 10 of them remaining to be navigators in the race, though in the next scene, it is announced that there are 11 racers and, indeed, 11 racers are shown at the beginning of the first race. However, one of them is a "jumper" and is blown up by a missile, leaving 10 racers... just enough for the 10 navigators.
(at about 55:00 into the film) Seven vehicles finished Stage 1. Then just after Lucas tells about the deals he has made, before Stage 2 begins, there is a scene of the cars on the starting line from the front and there are seven vehicles present, with the truck with the quad-cannon on the far right. This is immediately followed by a scene of the helicopter that pans down to show only six vehicles, with the quad-cannon truck missing. Yet when Stage 2 actually begins, there are seven vehicles again.
(at about 1:00:00 and 40:00 into the film) There are several errors in the credits' titles:
- Mark Elderkin is erroneously credited as "Sgt. Fury", when he plays "Joker".
- Hlubi Mboya is credited as "Diabolos", but onscreen she is identified as "Satana". Satana is synonymous with diabolos (the Greek word for devil).
- Michael Dube does not appear at all in the film, even though he is credited.
(at about 2:00 into the film) In the beginning of the film, Weyland is shown signing papers. It is noticeable that he writes his name "Wayland" instead of "Weyland".
