The idea was very original and I went in with my hopes up for this one. Unfortunately, I spent the entire show amazed with all the different ways they ruined what could have been such an amazing story.
People say the actors are only as good as the directors let them be and let me tell you the acting feels fake through out all episodes. This is very common in portuguese shows, as it seems the producers and directors have a weird unreal idea of how reactions and dialogues should occur. There's no other way to describe it: it just feels fake, feels like it's bad acting although I know damn well some of these actors are pretty good. But again, a failure nonetheless.
The characters also don't seem real: some of their decisions and actions are completely ridiculous and out of place.
Some of the secondary drama they placed in the show apparently to give the characters real problems outside the Caminho are useless, failing to create empathy and only serving the purpose to fill in screening time ("encher chouriços" in good portuguese).
This said, the idea is excellent, and some of the actors are really good in the midst of all the disappointment. Big big credits to the plot twist: although a veteran crime-horror fan will start to have doubts and guess sooner, the reveal of the true killer's identity is still mindblowing. BUT the actual ending scene is a bit mediocre and anti-climatic.
Could have been a lot better with some work put in to it but hope to see more Portuguese shows and movies that fit the crime (and hopefully, even if just a tiny bit, horror) genre.
