After WandaVision, it's easy enough to see why Doctor Strange in the Multiverse's handling of Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff disappointed fans. They didn't want to see the Scarlet Witch become a villain and wanted to watch her die even less.
Rumours about a Scarlet Witch movie have persisted for some time now and the Agatha All Along finale definitely set the stage for one (albeit somewhat indirectly).
Over the coming years, there are many stories about Wanda that Marvel Studios can tell. Some would be in the movies and TV shows of other characters, while we also have ideas for that long-awaited solo outing...either before or after the Multiverse Saga ends. If it's the latter, the door is opened to even more enticing possibilities.

Years after its release, Thor: Ragnarok is still one of the highest-rated MCU films ever, holding its own against movies like Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: No Way Home, both of which were the culmination of decades of story building. It's especially impressive, given that the second Thor film is one of the most-hated films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Clearly, just being a Thor sequel doesn't guarantee success or failure.
The movie begins with the premise that Thor must stop Ragnarök from destroying Asgard, but it quickly turns into a more traditional Marvel conflict when Hela, the Goddess of Death, is released and takes over the realm. Thor and Loki end up trapped on Sakaar for a time before returning to Asgard to save its people and defeat Hela.

Joe Russo revealed to GamesRadar+ at McM Comic Con 2024 that Marvel approached the Russo Brothers and Robert Downey Jr. to return for another “Avengers” movie of their record-breaking “Avengers: Infinity War” when the trio was already in discussions with each other for another project. It was announced at Comic-Con in July that Anthony and Joe Russo are directing two new Marvel movies, “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars,” the former of which will introduce Downey as the MCU’s Doctor Doom.
“We’re all very close,” Joe said about the brothers relationship with Downey. “We had been working on another project before Marvel approached all of us – so we’re working on another project with Robert – and there was a story that evolved through conversations [with Marvel] that we got very excited about. Elizabeth Olsen’s portrayal of Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was highly applauded by critics and fans alike. Her character debuted in Avengers: Age of Ultron and evolved as one of Marvel’s complex figures. While her role in movies like Avengers captured her performance, it earned her a standalone show, WandaVision, which featured her magical abilities in profound ways.
Olsen brought depth and vulnerability to Wanda, expanding her career and making her a household name. After playing the character for almost 10 years and working nonstop to perfect it, Olsen once shared that she feels frustrated playing Wanda and wants to leave the franchise.

He has been a voice with no body and a memory made real. But who knows what he might be next? How about the star of his own series? News on the Vision series has been fairly quiet since it was first announced, but now star Paul Bettany has revealed that filming will begin next year, which sets it up for its 2026 premiere.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Paul Bettany confirmed the news on the Vision series, adding the team is “cooking up something that I’m really excited about.” That’s not much – or anything, really (Bettany said that “snitches end up in ditches”) – to go on, but that doesn’t mean we’re still not looking forward to the Vision series. After all, while Vision may be one of the more minor characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he has been crucial and developed remarkably well throughout, especially on WandaVision.

Marvel fans, there’s exciting news about the upcoming Vision series set to premiere on Disney+ in 2026! In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Paul Bettany shared that the series is slated to start production next year.
He expressed his enthusiasm and also mentioned that he’s been catching up on the ‘WandaVision’ spinoff, ‘Agatha All Along.’ Bettany finds the spinoff insightful and plans to rewatch it to prepare for his role in the Vision series.
He said, ‘I love it and I’m so proud of Jac Schaeffer, and I am going to watch again because there’s so much for me to learn moving forward into my contribution.’
The new series, tentatively named ‘Vision Quest,’ picks up from where ‘WandaVision‘ left off, following Vision’s quest for his identity after being seen last in his white robotic form.

So ends another comic book movie trilogy, but what is it about the number three that the genre can’t get right? Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and Fox’s original X-Men saga both bowed out on bum notes, while Blade: Trinity staked the franchise dead. Even The Dark Knight Rises is the black sheep of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. It’s not that there haven’t been some great threequels, but Venom: The Last Dance is not the exception that proves the rule.
While there were once grand plans for Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, it feels like the Ssu is limping toward an inevitable end, like the Dceu releasing The Flash and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom simply because it had to. Although Ruben Fleischer’s Venom got the franchise off to a flying start in 2018, a little bit of our symbiote spirit has broken off with each entry.

Ryan Meinerding doesn’t spend a lot of time looking back. The Marvel Studios head of visual development’s days are consumed by the question of “what’s next?” as he helps create the biggest film franchise in history. But in a rare moment of reflection, Meinerding took stock in his journey with the new book Marvel Studios: The Art of Ryan Meinerding.
The 300-plus page tome from Abrams traces Meinerding’s journey from art-obsessed kid growing up in Ohio, to working with Jon Favreau on a John Carter movie that never happened, to following the filmmaker to Iron Man, the film that launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe. From there, Meinerding helped chart the company through the Infinity Saga, into its TV streaming era — and now, into the multiverse.

Venom: The Last Dance finally introduces Knull, God of the Symbiotes. The villain has been established as a Multiversal threat on the page and is now considered Eddie Brock's greatest foe.
We don't know what's next for Knull; if Venom 4 happens, then that's arguably the most likely destination for the character. However, if recent reports are to be believed, we may see the King in Black battle Spider-Man and Venom in the web-slinger's next solo outing.
Earlier this week, we spoke to Venom: The Last Dance writer/director Kelly Marcel and asked about the decision to cast Venom: Let There Be Carnage director and The Batman star Andy Serkis as Knull.
"So Knull actually was the first character we went in to design for this movie," the filmmaker explains in the video below. "Before Venom-Horse...Xenophage and Knull were the first two [characters] that went into the works in terms of design.

Samuel L. Jackson Rose Become the Highest-Grossing Actor of All Time (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Boom! Samuel L. Jackson‘s snatched the highest-grossing actor’s title of all time! With $14.628B from 69 movies, he’s stacking cash like there’s no tomorrow. Most of his blockbuster bucks come from his role as Nick Fury in the MCU. Starting with a sly cameo in Iron Man (2008), he became the ultimate glue that holds the Avengers together. If glue could talk, it’d drop iconic lines like Jackson!
Nick Fury: The Man, The Myth, The Legend
But wait! Let’s not put Jackson in a box labeled “just superhero.” Oh no! This man’s got a filmography that reads like a love letter to cinema. It features classics like Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained. With 45 films grossing over $100M, he blew past legends like Harrison Ford and Tom Cruise. Talk about taking names and kicking ass!

This article contains minor spoilers for "Venom: The Last Dance."
As we inched closer to the release date for "Venom: The Last Dance," supposedly the final film in Sony's Marvel-adjacent "Venom" trilogy, the marketing began to play up an appearance by a villainous character named Knull. I'm only a casual comic book reader (and barely that), so I must confess I've never heard of this character until about two or three weeks ago. To me, the name Knull means nothing. But as it turns out, Knull is an established Marvel villain, although he hasn't actually been around very long. Knull first appeared as an unidentified character in the pages of "Thor: God of Thunder #6" in 2013 before making his first full appearance in "Venom vol. 4 #3" in 2018. An ancient deity, Knull is a very powerful bad guy, and "Venom: The Last Dance" marks his first big screen appearance.
It's clear that...

Daniel Brühl plays Helmut Zemo in the MCU, making his first appearance as the main villain in Captain America: Civil War (2016). Zemo, a former Sokovian special forces operative, seeks revenge against the Avengers after his family was killed during the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).
Recognized as one of the most complex villains in the MCU, Brühl reprised his role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021), where Zemo embarks on a redemption arc, transforming into an anti-hero.
The actor recently spoke with GamesRadar+ to promote his new show, The Franchise, and shared an intriguing, lesser-known detail about his off-screen relationship with Robert Downey Jr. This memorable moment occurred while filming Civil War, and it’s something Brühl will cherish for life.

Josh Brolin is praising his friend and co-star Robert Downey Jr.
The 56-year-old actor, who plays Thanos in the MCU, spoke about his 59-year-old co-star, who plays Iron Man, after seeing his “astounding” Broadway performance in McNeal at the Vivian Beaumont Theater in New York City.
The show stars Robert Downey Jr. as writer Jacob McNeal, who “has an estranged son, a new novel, old axes to grind and an unhealthy fascination with Artificial Intelligence,” via the official synopsis.

“Saw McNeal at @lctheater tonight with a great case helmed by our great @robertdowneyjr (who was astounding). Backstage here with @thedonaldmustard and @therussobrothers,” he began.
“Thanks, Downey, for continuing to find the most soul challenging roads in sobriety. You are a pinnacle of the power of example of how to ultimately best live what this life can provide. Love you, pal.

Many actresses vied for the coveted role of Daenerys Targaryen, but everyone will agree that the part was truly meant for Emilia Clarke. The actress, who played the Mother of Dragons for eight seasons, has already become synonymous with her Game of Thrones role.

Interestingly, one Marvel star aspired to snag the part when she revealed in an interview that she read one of the famous monologues from the first season. It was none other than Elizabeth Olsen. Although fans believe no one can top Clarke’s performance, it would’ve been intriguing to see the WandaVision star’s take on Khaleesi.

So… Agatha All Along premiered recently and fans don’t know what to say. Although it is oftentimes a good thing, for this show, people have mixed reviews, especially considering how much fans want Elizabeth Olsen to appear.

The mystery of Teen's origins in Agatha All Along have been at the center of the series long before it even began. Ever since Joe Locke was cast in the role, rumors about his character's potential origins have made their way around the internet as Marvel fans speculated about the possibility of Wiccan joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The fifth episode of the Disney Plus series confirmed as much, when Teen used his powers for the first time, sending Agatha Harkness, Lilia Calderu, and Jennifer Kale into the mud on the side of the Witches' Road. He also did some nifty mind control, just like his mother Wanda Maximoff did during her first appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron. It was a reveal that many predicted but no one truly saw coming in that particular moment.

Evan Peters has not only created his position in the industry as a phenomenal actor but has also become a significant part of Marvel Studios. Considering how he played the role of Todd Haynes in Kick-Ass and appeared as Peter Maximoff/Quicksilver in X-Men movies and Deadpool 2, Peters even appeared in Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha All Along Episode 6.

However, while the actor appeared in the Disney+ series as Agatha Harkness’ hostage and bewitched husband, Ralph Bohner, Evan Peters’ role seemed like a disgrace to his talent. Given that the actor has proven his skills in playing superhero roles in Marvel, Peters should have had a Chris Evans-like renaissance, if any. Unfortunately, his appearance as a character who isn’t even in the comics seemed simply outrageous.

The latest episodes of Agatha All Along have set the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fandom abuzz with significant revelations. One of the biggest moments came with the unveiling of Joe Locke’s character, previously known simply as “Teen.” Episode 5 has now confirmed him as none other than Billy Maximoff, aka Wiccan, the son of Wanda Maximoff. This bombshell reveal adds a fresh layer of depth to the series, while also paving the way for major developments in the MCU.
Billy Maximoff: A Game-Changer for Agatha All Along
Joe Locke’s portrayal of Billy Maximoff introduces a pivotal shift in the show’s dynamics. The reveal that Billy is a powerful witch like his mother, Wanda, sets up a new power hierarchy on the Witches’ Road, which forms the backbone of Agatha All Along’s storyline. Once considered secondary to Agatha and her coven, Billy is now poised to become a...

2021's "Black Widow" was always a puzzling movie for me. You're finally giving the one woman on The Avengers her own movie after you kill her off in "Avengers: Endgame"? Hence it is a prequel, one that takes place within the third act of "Captain America: Civil War." Then there's the film's story being built around the vague allusions to Widow's history in "The Avengers" from "Dreykov's daughter" to a past mission in Budapest. Once more, wiki-brained nerds proved they can't tell when a line is there to suggest a character has an offscreen history, not set up a spin-off.
But having seen "Black Widow," I understand why it got pushed to Phase 4. The movie is more than anything a torch passing from one Widow to the next: Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) to her little sister, Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh). Pugh has since shown up as Yelena in the...

In Avengers: Age of Ultron, the second film in the MCU’s Avengers saga, Scarlet Witch made her debut as a supporting antagonist. Since then, Wanda Maximoff—portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen—has evolved into a central figure within the MCU, becoming a key contributor to the franchise’s storyline and even headlining her own series, WandaVision.
Wanda also played a pivotal role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where Doctor Strange had to face her in a battle to save reality, marking the peak of her dark transformation.
Her eventual death was portrayed heroically, as she destroyed every copy of the Darkhold, bringing closure to her character arc.
While her appearance in Agatha: Coven of Chaos (formerly Agatha All Along) seems less likely with each passing episode, Wanda’s future in the MCU remains uncertain.
Conflicting rumors suggest she might return, while others hint that her character is quietly being phased out.

Edward Norton still has the honor of starring in the only solo Hulk movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he is also one of the few actors to have their role replaced in the series that spans over 30 movies and 10 canonical shows. Ruffalo began his MCU journey a dozen years ago in the first Avengers blockbuster; where he “incredibly” captured the duality of Banner/Hulk better than any prior performer. Ruffalo managed to pull off the feat in a team-up event, whereas Norton, and a pre-mcu Eric Bana, had an entire feature dedicated to the hero.
Ruffalo immediately connected with audiences more than any of his predecessors, which raised the bar for how compelling this hero could be in live-action, while also rounding out the Avengers ensemble wonderfully. He gave the Marvel Cinematic Universe a big green hand to help lift the franchise to stratospheric heights. Without individual projects to focus on,...

On one hand, you could say Joss Whedon had about as auspicious a Marvel Studios debut as possible when he wrote and directed "The Avengers." The blockbuster superhero team-up was really the first of its kind, bringing together disparate elements of a shared timeline and cementing the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the juggernaut blockbuster franchise we know it as today. It also made $1.5 billion, which helps. On the other hand, you could also argue that Whedon's foray into the MCU started in about as inauspicious a way as possible.
That's because Whedon's first MCU project cost an old friend millions. The director came to "The Avengers" after Zak Penn had already written a script. But Whedon decided to disregard the existing screenplay almost entirely, rewriting it from scratch and, in the process, establishing his comedic sensibility — previously on full display...

While Marvel Television (the original Jeph Loeb-led iteration) was in charge of Netflix's Daredevil, MCU concept artist Ryan Meinerding was enlisted to design the Man Without Fear's costume.
It didn't feature the iconic "Dd" logo and neither has any iteration of the suit since. In fact, it was still missing when Matt Murdock made his MCU debut in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and, based on Daredevil: Born Again set photos, it won't feature there either.
Perhaps the thought process is that a blind superhero wouldn't need or want to put a logo on his chest. Still, fans remain eager to see it on screen.

Elizabeth Olsen has been a fixture in the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since her debut Avengers: Age of Ultron debut. And although she’s seen herself in plenty of Marvel films, it seems her last MCU feature might’ve left the actor squirming.
Elizabeth Olsen still hasn’t seen ‘Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ Elizabeth Olsen | Dave Benett/WireImage
Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness almost made $1 billion worldwide. Its high box office may mean that a lot of moviegoers saw the film, but Olsen wasn’t one of them. She once explained on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that she couldn’t watch the movie at the premiere after catching a cold. But after receiving a screener, Olsen still found herself unable to watch the film. It wasn’t because she had any qualms about seeing herself on the big screen the way some actors do.

The MCU has a rich history that began with the release of Iron Man in 2008, and it continues to expand with many new characters joining the franchise.
However, despite its massive success, there are certain individuals who have been blacklisted by the head of Marvel Studios, ruling out their return to the franchise, regardless of the success of their past projects.

As Marvel Studios' Vision series (previously titled "Vision Quest") continues to round out its cast, we have a very interesting rumor relating to Tony Stark and his father Howard's former assistants.
According to Mttsh, Kerry Condon and James D'Arcy will appear as their respective characters, F.R.I.D.A.Y and Jarvis.
Condon provided the voice of Tony's second AI after J.A.R.V.I.S. (Paul Bettany) was transformed into Vision, while D'Arcy played the human the "natural-language user interface computer system" was named after, Edwin Jarvis.
How these characters will factor into the show remains to be seen.
The project is being described as "the third part of a trilogy that started with WandaVision and continues in Agatha All Along."
We found out earlier this year that the Vision show had been revamped, with Star Trek: Picard executive producer Terry Matalas now on board as showrunner.

The impact of WandaVision continues to be felt three years after its arrival. The Marvel Cinematic Universe series brought Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany's respective characters into the spotlight, giving Wanda Maximoff and Vision the focus that they just never had in the previous MCU movies. It was also a game-changer for the franchise.
Wanda evolved into the Scarlet Witch and continued her story through Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, while Vision was resurrected as the White Vision (after his death in Avengers: Infinity War) and, after a run-in with the magically-resurrected Westview Vision, regained all of his memories. The WandaVision stories continue beyond the original Disney Plus series, as Agatha All Along brings back Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness and Vision Quest will bring back Paul Bettany as the White Vision.

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Scarlet Witch, Elizabeth Olsen has earned herself a legion of fans (she's also earned the title of "mother" among her biggest devotees...don't ask!).
This version of the Wanda Maximoff debuted in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron thanks to a complicated rights loophole which saw Marvel Studios also allowed to use the mutant and her brother Pietro/Quicksilver due to their history with the team.
Despite losing her mutant status, in the years that have followed, the Scarlet Witch has become a key part of this shared world. That was evident from her role in movies like Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.
Later, she took centre stage in WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Controversially, the latter left the hero's fate very much up in the air and Wanda hasn't been seen since; on the plus side, rumours of a solo outing persist,...

It's time; Agatha All Along has officially arrived on Disney Plus and it is set to continue bewitching our lives throughout the remainder of the spooky season. The Marvel Studios spooktacular will run over the course of seven weeks, with a special double-episode finale streaming just prior to Halloween, making the show the joint-longest Marvel Cinematic Universe series yet, sharing a nine-episode count with WandaVision, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, and What If...?.
Speaking of the MCU, Agatha All Along is indeed a part of the Marvel Studios franchise, as its 11th TV series produced for Disney Plus. But, as we've seen in the past, that doesn't mean you have to watch every single project in the franchise to understand it. In fact, as it has a standalone Special Presentation quality about it, few titles are entirely necessary to watch before it to grasp what is going on. There are, however,...

Comic book characters, even superheroes, generally have a tendency to cause a lot of damage during their fights. This is not, in the case of the superheroes, intentional, of course, but damage occurs and casualties also occur, whether they want it or not. On the other hand, sometimes, the casualties are intentional as superheroes have to kill their enemies in order to win.
Sometimes, though, superheroes have a “no-kill” rule, like Batman or Superman, but this is an exception, not a rule. Superheroes generally don’t shy away from killing their enemies, regardless of whether they are humans or some alien entities, monsters, etc.
In light of that, we are going to talk about the kill count of a very interesting character, or, more specifically, about the kill count of her version from the MCU. The character in question is Maria Hill, and you will definitely be surprised when you...

Comic book characters, including superheroes, often cause significant damage during their battles. While this destruction isn’t intentional on the heroes’ part, casualties happen regardless. There are also instances where superheroes deliberately kill their enemies to secure victory.
Some heroes, like Batman and Superman, follow a “no-kill” policy, but this is more of an exception than the norm. Generally, superheroes do not hesitate to eliminate their foes, whether they are humans, aliens, or monsters.
With that in mind, let’s explore the kill count of a particularly intriguing character from the MCU: Maria Hill. You might be surprised to discover just how many characters she’s taken down—and yes, her count surpasses that of the Hulk!
The data we’re sharing comes from an IMDb list created by user Creedswede, who took the time to compile the kill count of both major and minor MCU characters, along with some key notes.
