The Voice‘s landmark 25th season at NBC continues to forge ahead, and with the latest round of Knockouts comes a tough decision for coach Reba McEntire as her Team Reba members Asher HaVon and Tae Lewis go head to head in this exclusive sneak peek. As the clip, above, begins, Asher is the first to take to the stage, delivering a soul-stirring rendition of Toni Braxton‘s “Unbreak My Heart,” which fits his vocals perfectly. Commanding the audience’s attention as well as the coaches, who along with Reba includes John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay, Asher makes quite an impression with his performance. (Credit: NBC) But Tae doesn’t let this impede his ability to deliver an equally powerful performance, taking on Cody Johnson’s “Nothin’ On You,” for his song. The CEO of Abs-cbn has lifted the lid on how the media conglom’s first variety show collaboration with former network rival GMA typifies a new era of business for the Filipino company.
Abs-cbs teamed with GMA to air the popular midday variety show It’s Showtime, which will air from April 6 on GMA’s main channel.
The series is a long-running franchise that first premiered in 2009 on Abs-cbn, 11 years before the company lost its broadcasting license due to a Philippines’ National Telecommunications Commission order in 2020.
Since then, the Filipino media giant has pivoted to focus on content production, partnering with other companies to distribute shows domestically. It’s Showtime is Abs-cbn’s second collaboration with GMA, after previously working together on drama series Unbreak My Heart last year. In exclusive comments made to Deadline, Abs-cbn CEO Carlo Katigbak explained the strategic pivot.

In January, prolific songwriter Diane Warren received her 15th Academy Award nomination in the best song category for “The Fire Inside,” for the film “Flamin’ Hot,” directed by Eva Longoria. On March 10, Warren held onto her Oscar record in the category for more nominations without a single win when she lost to Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell for their “Barbie” song “What Was I Made For?”
But Warren doesn’t have much time to wallow in self pity. The songwriter, whose catalogue includes “Only Love Can Hurt Like This,” “Un-Break My Heart,” and “If I Could Turn Back Time,” is due in Austin on March 12 for the SXSW premiere of Bess Kargman’s documentary “Diane Warren: Relentless.”
It’s a doc that multiple nonfiction helmers have attempted to make, which isn’t surprising since Warren has penned nine No. 1 and 33 top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and is tied for...

We have more intriguing casting news for one of the most highly anticipated series of 2024.
From the moment NBC began developing Suits: LA, fans of the original series have been clamoring for updates about the spinoff.
And some of the information about the cast has received a very mixed response.
But we think this latest report won't be as controversial as some of the news that preceded it.
According to a new report from Variety, Lex Scott Davis is the latest addition to the cast.
Though perhaps not a household name, Davis has an extensive and impressive resume, highlighted by her work in The First Purge, her performance as Toni Braxton in the biopic Unbreak My Heart and her roles on the TV series Training Day and The L Word: Generation Q.
Davis has been cast as Erica Rollins, whom producers describe as “a savvy and strong-willed rising star.
