It took nearly the first series for me to get the 'feel' of this programme, but it was worth sticking it out.
Under the extraordinary leadership of Chief Inspector Miekelson, these officers and staff are keeping Scotland safe, and keeping us laughing.
Every law enforcement officer could take a tip or two from the ever-patient Officer Karen. I won't spoil a scene, but Sgt. Millar does get some satisfaction in an incident when Bobby wins a contest where the prize is a tour of the station.
The transformation of volunteer officer Ken Beattie, between series two and three, is brilliant. (Again, you'll have to see it yourself.)
I could go on and on, but just watch the show and be prepared to chuckle.

I really like this series. It is very funny and at the same time very informative. I have never been a criminal but I have been thinking about it. Being a criminal here in the states doesn't sound very fun but after seeing this series I think I would really like to be a criminal in Scotland. Thanks for the encouragement!
Oh my, what a bore. I love Brit humour but this waste of time is embarrassing. Shame on Scotland television. Surely you poor people can do better than this. Mocumemtary or not.

Scot Squad
I watched all eight series and the quality was brilliant throughout. It was constantly inventive and really very very funny. Of course it was an absolute necessity to have. The subtitles turned on to make any sense of the dialogue. However, after the first six months I kind of got used to it.
The script was tight and we had some brilliant and memorable comedy acting, this was mostly comedy gold.
Just a casual observation tells me Scotland is in a golden age of comedy what with one comedy show after another, I like 2 Doors Down and Scott Squad.
I'm giving this a firm 10 outta 10 meaning something to be watched again and again.

Loved this at first and the characters are spot on but really, same old gags episode after episode. The characters were well observed so why on earth move nice but dim volunteer Ken to Sgt when the joke was around well-meaning but out of depth volunteers. Just showed they had run out of ideas. I think time to call a halt.

Much like Rab C Nesbit before it, I don't condone my fellow countrymen being made out to look like complete pilloks. It was bad enough watching benefit claimants being "funny", but it's less impressive watching the country's constabulary looking nothing more than a Darwinian experiment.
