Fresh off of working on the horror films Swallowed and Consecration, Jena Malone has signed on to star in the supernatural thriller The Movers – and Deadline reports that she’ll be working with a cool supporting cast that includes Terrence Howard (Hustle & Flow), Tom Everett Scott (That Thing You Do!), Grant Feely (Obi Wan), Kellan Rhude (Dexter: New Blood), Natalie Burn (Black Adam), and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future).
Written and directed by Giorgio Serafini, The Movers will tell the story of a close-knit family who moves into a seemingly charming neighborhood, only to discover that all is not what it appears. As they face persistent threats, the family begins to question their reality and the world around them. It’s a nightmarish universe of deceiving angels and compassionate demons, lost souls desperately seeking a way out.
Serafini had this to say about the project: “We are thrilled...

Legion M, billed as the world’s “first fan-owned entertainment company,” has promoted David Baxter to vice president of development, where he will oversee the company’s development slate of film, television, and Vr projects with COO and head of content, Terri Lubaroff.
Baxter has been in the spotlight in recent days as a key event producer of the high-profile Star Lee tribute scheduled for Wednesday at the Tcl Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The event will be hosted by Kevin Smith who, like industry veteran Baxter, knew and admired the late Marvel Comics icon for decades.
With more than 25 years in the entertainment industry as a development executive, producer, and award-winning WGA writer, Baxter joined Legion M as the head of content-developing services when the company was formed by Paul Scanlan and Jeff Annisonin in 2016. Since his role in the blockbusting ensemble piece The Expendables, Dolph Lundgren has been somewhat of a tour-de-force in the world of direct-to-market action flicks. From straight forward action movies like Hard Rush and A Certain Justice, to more fantastical films such Battle of the Damned and Legendary, Lundgren has been tolling away in the genre starring in films that, whilst not all are entirely successful, are ways apart from his pre-Expendables career.
The reason for his recent success, in this reviewers opinion, seems to be his willingness to share the limelight. Where once he may have demanded the mot screen time, a headline on the poster etc., these days his films are more about the ensembles within them. He’s starred alongside the likes of Vinnie Jones, Randy Couture, Cung Le (an underrated action star...

A Certain Justice, aka Puncture Wounds, is the latest film from the foursome of Giorgio Serafini, Dolph Lundgren, Vinnie Jones and Gianni Capaldi, who previously worked together on Hard Rush (aka Ambushed) and Blood of Redemption. This time round the group is joined by Ufc Fighter-turned action star Cung Le (from the awesome Dragon Eyes) and one of my favourite female stars working in Hollywood today, Briana Evigan.
The film tells the story of soldier John Nguyen, who returns home from a traumatic tour of duty in Iraq struggling with Ptsd. What little peace he had managed to build around him is shattered one fateful day when he rescues a local call girl from a group of violent pimps, killing one and severely injuring the other.

Dolph Lundgren vs. an army of the undead? Yeah, I’m gonna have to put money on Rocky’s erstwhile enemy on this one, folks. Check out an exclusive clip from director Christopher Hatton’s “Battle of the Damned,” which finds everyone’s favorite Expendable taking on a legion of zombies. Hey, if you gotta have one guy save the world from flesh-eating hordes single-handedly, it mind as well be Dolph Friggin Lundgren, amirite or amirite? I’m probably right. Check out a clip from the movie below, then stay tune for a “Battle of the Damned” Blu-ray giveaway sometime next week. When a deadly virus is accidentally released into a major city, its population is quarantined by a military blockade. And for a wealthy industrialist desperate to rescue his daughter from inside the rabid chaos, his only hope is former commando Max Gatling (Dolph Lundgren The Expendables, Ambushed ). Now...

Nobody Can Cool is the rather impressive directorial debut from up-and-coming filmmaking duo Dpyx, Marcy Boyle and Rachel Holzman, who crafted a blisteringly taut and thoughtful indie crime thriller with a palpable sense of tension from start to finish. A gritty and engaging tale of deceit, violence and desperation, Nobody Can Cool is anchored by a breakout performance by Nick Principe (best known from his work in the Laid to Rest series, Madison County and...

The crime epic (at least in film) has been on autopilot for a while now, so it’s hard to say why Ambushed, featuring Randy Couture and Vinnie Jones, is as distressing as it is (maybe because noted talking sandwich Dolph Lundgren easily turns in the strongest performance in the cast). In any case, there’s nothing here that you haven’t seen before (and in the case of most of you seen repeatedly), only done with less flair, less fun and less gravity than usual. It’s hard to imagine too many viewers will be clamoring for an earnest straight-to-video take on Scarface, but just in case, here it is.

Dolph Lundgren, playing a hard case lawman, lays down the law to fellow hard case lawman Randy Couture in an Exclusive clip from director Giorgio Serafini’s “Ambushed”. Check it out below. I still contend that Sylvester Stallone and his “Expendables” buddies should get together one evening and come up with a coherent Expendables Movie Universe, where characters from the movie team-up. You could do prequels before they became Expendables, or jump ahead in time, or do side stories. I’m telling you, it would work. Call me, Sly! “The Expendables” co-stars Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture team up in “Ambushed”, though they’re not playing their characters from “The Expendables”. It would be cool if they did, though, right? I don’t know why Stallone doesn’t spin-off the characters, kinda like how Marvel does it. It could be The Expendables Cinematic Universe, or Ecu. So Jet Li’s character would get his own movie, and would cameo in a Stallone Barney Ross movie, who would cameo in a Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture team-up. You get the idea. Until that happens, we’ll just have to make do with guys like Couture and Lundgren showing up in the same movies, like director Giorgio Serafini’s cop actioner “Ambushed”. Check out two clips from that team-up below. Ambushed charts the dark, seductive underbelly of Los Angeles, told from the point of view of two of its seedier denizens,...

I like Dolph Lundgren. A lot. Although most of his cinematic endeavors head straight to home video these days, the guy’s work is just as strong as it ever was. In fact, his 2005 action flick “The Mechanik” (I refuse to call it “The Russian Specialist”) is probably the best thing he’s ever made. But that’s just my opinion. Feel free to disagree all you want. The big guy’s latest flick “Ambushed” (aka “Hard Rush”) finds him teaming up with fellow Dtv star Vinnie Jones. And while it doesn’t look like the strongest effort in their respective filmographies, the flick could be worth a rental. I’ll definitely check it out. As always, here’s a synopsis: Agent Maxwell (Dolph Lundgren) is about to close in on an international cocaine smuggling operation run by criminal mastermind Vincent Camastra (Vinnie Jones). At the rate Dolph Lundgren is pumping out direct to market action movies, you get the feeling that a quality script is not his highest priority – after all many of his recent solo efforts have been severely lacking in both story and action, with only Stash House coming anywhere close to being a top-notch action flick. Thankfully Lundgren’s ratio of good to bad movies seems to be in his favour this time out and Hard Rush hits plenty of action-movie targets, even if it does succumb to a lot of genre cliches and stereotypes.
