It is yet another installment of Chinese Paladin after Chinese Paladin 1, 3 and 5 have all been adapted into dramas.
Aside from Paladin Legend, Chinese Paladin 4 and Chinese Paladin 6: Sword and Fairy are also in the works.
In September 2016, New Culture acquired the rights to adapt the Chinese Paladin 4 game into a TV series.
