Francesca Eastwood is more than just a media fixture. The name, however, has taken quite the tumble in the last few days, with her arrest on a felony domestic violence charge and the imminent fallout. While the details of the incident remain elusive for many, it is also naturally raising a few eyebrows.

Francesca is one of Clint Eastwood’s eight children. Her mother, Frances Fisher, is perhaps best known for her role as Ruth DeWitt Bukater in Titanic (1997). Fisher and Clint Eastwood met in 1988, during the pre-production party for Pink Cadillac, never wed, and split by 1995, when Fisher started going out with George Clooney.
Clint Eastwood, meanwhile, is still chugging on. Almost seventy years into his career, the 94-year-old’s Juror #2 will be out in November 2024, a film in which his daughter Francesca plays a role.

It seems that not a single Gunn’s announcement related to the upcoming ‘Superman’ reboot can go without controversy. A while back, when Milly Alcock was cast as Supergirl, the director was criticized for having an all-white main cast of the movie.
Now the most recent outrage is directed toward the cast being “D-List” in nature. Everything started with the announcement that Pruitt Taylor Vince will be cast as Jonathan Kent in the upcoming reboot with Neva Howell cast as Martha Kent, Superman’s adoptive human mother.
Even though both actors are established in their own right with medium-sized roles, none of them in the past has led blockbusters. Vince will star as a series regular in the upcoming Apple TV+ series ‘Lady in the Lake,’ alongside Natalie Portman, set to release this summer. It appears that every announcement about James Gunn’s upcoming ‘Superman’ reboot sparks controversy. Some time ago, when Milly Alcock was cast as Supergirl, the director faced criticism for assembling an all-white main cast (despite Supergirl not being a part of main cast…)
Now, the latest uproar revolves around the perceived “D-List” nature of the cast. It all began with the announcement of Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent and Neva Howell as Martha Kent, Superman’s adoptive human parents, in the upcoming reboot.

Milo Ventimiglia is opening up about the Heroes reboot and the possibility of a new revival. The actor also revealed why he won’t be auditioning for the Batman role in The Brave and the Bold film that James Gunn is working on as part of the new DC Universe he is constructing alongside Peter Safran.
In a new interview, the This Is Us alum was pessimistic about the idea of bringing back Heroes, the 2006 Tim Kring-created superhero series that aired on NBC for four seasons.
“I feel like I’ve been trained to say ‘never say never.’ But I think when they tried to bring back Heroes and reboot Heroes, it was a bit of a soft landing,” Ventimiglia said in an interview with ComicBook. “I don’t think that one’s gonna be revisited again.”
Ventimiglia played the role of Peter Petrelli, a hospice nurse who can mimic other people’s abilities.

The network has ordered a pilot for a drama titled Judgement, from sibling studio 20th Television and writer Joey Falco (The CW’s Charmed). The self-described legal soap will center on a potential Supreme Court justice in the near future — while also exploring the candidate’s complicated present-day life.
The project’s logline reads, “Fifteen years from now, a woman being vetted for a Supreme Court seat recounts her experience at a prominent D.C. law firm in 2023, where the only thing more controversial than the cases was her messy love life, caught between two feuding brothers. Now, with a Supreme Court seat on the line, all of her darkest secrets are at risk of coming out, threatening her nomination, her reputation, and her marriage.”

The children of two Hollywood icons are set to collide in the cat-and-mouse thriller Clawfoot, which is coming to us from director Michael Day, screenwriter April Wolfe, and Yale Entertainment, the company behind the awesome Becky. Milo Gibson is playing the manipulative contractor.
Clawfoot marks the feature directorial debut of Day, who previously directed multiple short films and episodes of the shows The News Tank and Sisters. This is the second feature written by Wolfe, as she previously co-wrote the poorly received 2019 version of Black Christmas.

Exclusive: The Purge franchise architect James DeMonaco has crafted a personal film, which is an ode to cinema, based in his hometown of Staten Island, entitled This Is the Night and the Blumhouse release has a one-week theatrical run starting this Friday, Sept. 17 at Angelika’s Village East in New York City before hitting PVOD on Sept. 21 via Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
“I conceived this film as a love-letter to cinema. This is the Night is a passion project I’ve been waiting to make. A story based in my hometown of Staten Island, the film serves as a PSA: Movies bring us–people, families–together. There’s no time like the present to celebrate movies and how they inspire us,” DeMonaco tells Deadline.

The Hellfire Gala comes to the pages of Wolverine… and it’s not an easy read! Since X-Men relaunched under the guidance of Hickman I have been trying to stay in touch with all the goings on via reviews and news articles. When the new X-Men team and the winner of the vote came out online before the issues were released I kind of lost interest. Bascially all of this lead to this particular issue being a continuity minefield to navigate. This issue has the feel that the reader is just dropping in to briefly witness 3/4 different plot points that then continue elsewhere. It is everything I was expecting previously with regards to X-Force crossover, with Percy penning both titles. Think of it as X-Force filler more than a solo Wolverine story. Maybe I...

As event comics go, this has been a pretty fun ride so far. Alongside the main Heroes Reborn book, there have been quite a few one-shots taking longer looks at faces both familiar and not so. All, of course, essentially seeing the Marvel Universe as though it was a DC book. Peter Parker was a thinly veiled Jimmy Olsen for example. Tribute? Pastiche? Affectionate homage? Probably a little of all of these things. The Squadron Supreme of course were literally copies of the Justice League themselves, and it’s been nice to delve into their world a little, albeit one which has been created as a replacement to the ‘real’ world. That will change of course, but for now the Squadron are front and centre.
We get two stories here, the main lead featuring Nighthawk,...

Beginning in 2006, NBC’s pulpy comic book-esque series Heroes ran for four seasons consisting of 77 episodes and over 30 online “minisodes.” The original run was followed up with 13-episode reboot Heroes Reborn in 2015. All in all, the franchise produced over 65 hours of content. Of those 65+ hours of Heroes, 20 seconds are absolutely, devastatingly perfect.
That 20 second of Heroes nirvana occurs in the 20th episode of the show’s first season, “Five Years Gone.” In it, the temporally-displaced Hiro Nakamura and his friend Ando Masahashi time travel five years into the future to discover what will become of the world if a prophesied explosion isn’t stopped. Things are properly dystopian with a superpowered president Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar) rounding up and imprisoning his fellow supes. Ultimately, however, Hiro discovers that Nathan Petrelli isn’t Nathan Petrelli at all but a disguised power-hoarder Gabriel Gray a.k.a. Sylar (Zachary Quinto). Peter Petrelli...

Studio71 is readying another non-digital game -- this time in collaboration with YouTube comedian and animator Alex Clark.
The in-development game is titled Sugar Heist, and sees players collecting, trading, and stealing adorably animated cards with babies eating candy; whoever has the most cards at the end of the game wins. Sugar Heist is the brainchild of Clark, who has 4.3 million subscribers, and Zach Craley -- a writer on TV shows like Heroes Reborn and Marvel’s Avengers Assemble.
The guys are currently gauging interest with an email list, and a Kickstarter campaign is slated to launch by month’s end.
“Zach and I have been best friends since college and we get together regularly to play games with our wives,” Clark said in a statement. “We've always dreamed of making our own card game, but when Zach had twins we were finally inspired to follow through. With babies on the brain,...
