It's an uncertain time for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Marvel Studios looking to get back to quality over quantity, we're expecting sweeping changes to be made to the Multiverse Saga slate, with D23 or Comic-Con the most likely destinations for an update.
However, we're not the only ones wondering what's next. Talking to The Playlist, Benedict Cumberbatch was asked what he knows of Doctor Strange 3.
"Who knows," he responded when they wondered whether it would be released before the next Avengers movies. As for the former Sorcerer Supreme's role in those, Cumberbatch added, "We will see. We will find out. I’m not sure where he’s been and what he’s been up to and who with, but yeah, I know as little as you."

Superman has always been the most hopeful and powerful hero, whether it is about DC, or Marvel. With the many adaptations of the Kryptonian hero, some get regarded as masterpieces while others die before they can even reach the surface. Adaptations find key elements that please the audiences and the DC Animated Universe is by far excelling the most in that.

Can you feel that? Yeah, that’s the hierarchy of the DC Extended Universe being upended. At least, according to “Black Adam” star Dwayne Johnson.
This long-in-the-works adaptation of the comic book antihero, who began life as a “Shazam!” spin-off, is finally here, and it’s ushering in (potentially) a new phase of movies based on DC properties. (DC admittedly hasn’t had the easiest go of things.)
In the new movie, Johnson’s character, referred to as Teth-Adam for most of the runtime, is a godlike creature resurrected after 5,000 years of imprisonment in the fictional North African nation of Khandaq. It’s there that he kills many, many people, runs afoul of the Justice Society (led by Aldis Hodge as Hawkman), and gains some of his humanity back after befriending a young widow (Sarah Shahi) and her John Connor-esque son (Bodhi Sabongui).

Plot and character details for the series are being kept largely under wraps, though sources say the show will follow a procedural format and see Lyonne’s character working to solve different murders in each episode.
Bratt most recently appeared opposite Rosario Dawson in the HBO Max limited series “Dmz,” which debuted in March on the streamer. He also previously starred in the Fox music drama “Star” from Lee Daniels. His other TV roles include “Law & Order,” “24: Live Another Day,” “Private Practice,” “The Cleaner,” and multiple appearances on “Modern Family.” In film, Bratt is known for starring in features like “Piñero,...

That was a high-octane thrill ride from start to finish.
The impressive promotional campaign for The Equalizer touted the series as much, and The Equalizer Season 1 Episode 1 lived up to expectations.
Queen Latifah was one of the sole reasons to watch Star, but there is a lot to love about The Equalizer, and it largely comes down to the solid casting.
Robin McCall is fierce; she takes no crap and will put her life on the line in the name of helping the people who have nowhere else to run.
My first impression of the opening case involving Jewel was not entirely positive. I rolled my eyes when I noticed that the footage had been doctored to make the young girl look like a merciless killer.
It felt a little too sci-fi for me, but it also had a bigger purpose. We needed to get to the root of why...

This month, CBS is launching a procedural of unusually high quality, featuring both a game and talented cast and a tie to intellectual property that is about as recognizable, among pop-culture fans, as anything that exists. It seems both like a potentially major hit and like the sort of show that deserves a healthy head start to get it there.
That’s not, though, the show that CBS will be launching after the Super Bowl. “Clarice,” starring Rebecca Breeds as the FBI agent made famous in “The Silence of the Lambs,” will debut Feb. 11. In the lead-out spot — the place on the TV calendar with the largest potential opening act, and the one that has helped establish hits including “The X-Files,” “Friends,” and “Grey’s Anatomy” — is the pilot for “The Equalizer.” An adaptation of the 1980s CBS crime show, this series features Queen Latifah, returning to TV after Fox’s...

“Summer of Soul,” Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson’s acclaimed documentary about the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, has been acquired by the Disney-owned Searchlight Pictures in a deal that also will bring the film to Hulu.
The documentary, which won both the Grand Jury prize and Audience award at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, served as the directorial debut for Thompson, who has been the drummer of hip-hop band The Roots for over three decades. “Summer of Soul” will have a theatrical release, will stream in the United States on Hulu, and will stream internationally on Star and Star+. Premiere dates have not been announced.
“I’m so honored to be allowed to manifest my dreams after all this time,” Thompson said in a statement. “This is truly an honor. ‘Summer Of Soul’ is a passion project and to have it resonate with so many people on so many levels has been incredibly rewarding.

U.K. free-to-air terrestrial broadcaster Channel 4 has won the rights to the upcoming England vs. India Test cricket series in a deal with Disney’s Star Sports.
This will be the first time live Test cricket has been on free-to-air television in the U.K. since Channel 4 showed England winning against Australia in 2005. Since then, test cricket, and indeed all international cricket broadcast in the U.K. has been the preserve of Comcast’s pay TV operator Sky. There was an exception in 2019 when England reached the finals of the World Cup, played in England, and Sky shared broadcast rights with Channel 4.
Earlier, the BBC covered all England home games for 60 years until 1999 when they lost the rights to Channel 4.
The series consists of four Test matches, to be played in Chennai and Ahmedabad from Feb. 5. All four matches will be shown live, ball-by-ball, on Channel 4 and streamer All4,...

The “9-1-1: Lone Star” gang was not alone last night, when regular ol’ “9-1-1” firefighters came to aid the Texas team in a Fox crossover. In the primetime event, Buck (Oliver Stark), Eddie (Ryan Guzman) and Hen (Aisha Hinds) helped out Capt. Owen Strands (Rob Lowe), his son T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein) and the other members of the 126 through an epic natural disaster — and some personal disasters as well. As a result, Fox drew the most total viewers again on broadcast TV last night, but ABC’s steady “The Bachelor” paved the way for another first-place finish in the key demo’s ratings. “Lone Star,” a spinoff of Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear’s “9-1-1” series, grew week to week in overall eyeballs. It declined in ratings among adults 18-49. “9-1-1” slipped outright from last Monday. Also Read: '9-1-1' Star Aisha...

In the latest TV show ratings, Fox’s 9-1-1 this Monday drew 6.5 million total viewers and a 0.9 demo rating, (inexplicably?) down 10 and 25 percent week-to-week, against lighter competition, to mark season lows — yet still leading the night in total audience.
Lone Star‘s crossover with 9-1-1 followed with 6 mil and a 0.8, down 20 percent in the demo to mark its own season low (read Buck/T.K. post mortem).

‘9-1-1’ Star Aisha Hinds on Hen and Owen’s Deadly ‘Lone Star’ Crisis, Bonding Over Incredible Trauma
(Warning: This post contains spoilers for Monday’s “9-1-1”/”9-1-1: Lone Star.”)
Henrietta “Hen” Wilson (Aisha Hinds) has gone through some pretty dark experiences on “9-1-1.” But one of the paramedic’s most horrifying moments came when she and a couple other members of the 118 headed over to “9-1-1: Lone Star” for Monday’s epic crossover event of the Ryan Murphy-produced Fox dramas.
During the hour, Hen gets way more than she bargained for by joining Buck (Oliver Stark) and Eddie (Ryan Guzman) on their mission to help other companies fight a massive wildfire in Texas. That disaster leads to yet another disaster when Hen and Captain Owen Strand (Rob Lowe) of Austin’s 126 get stuck in a mineshaft after their rescue chopper crashes over the wildfire.
They use their time spent almost dying talking about how Owen recently lost a member of his team in a freak accident in the field,...

Austin’s Station 126 finally met some of the members of Los Angeles’ 118 on Monday’s “9-1-1: Lone Star,” which featured the long-awaited crossover with parent series “9-1-1.” The lucky few — or unlucky, depending on how you look at some of the things that happen during the hour — who get to make the 20-hour trip to help put out a massive wildfire in Texas are Buck (Oliver Stark), Eddie (Ryan Guzman) and Hen (Aisha Hinds), who almost immediately are split up into three different storylines connecting them with “Lone Star’s” leads.
And that aspect of the crossover was very important to Tim Minear, who is showrunner on both “9-1-1” and “Lone Star,” so that he could create the quick bonds among the two teams that would be necessary in order for them to join...

Here is a wrap up of all the news you need to know from Thursday, January 28.
ABC's Big Sky is expanding its cast.
Deadline is reporting that the freshman hit is adding a powerful new family as Big Sky Season 1 progresses.
Michelle Forbes, Britt Robertson, Michael Raymond-James, Ryan Dorsey, and Omar Metwally have all been added in recurring guest roles.
The outlet states that Forbes, Robertson, Raymond James, and Dorsey will all be playing family members, while Metwally is on board as a U.S. Marshall.
Since its debut in November, the series has been a decent performer for ABC and recently snagged a six-episode backorder.
The ratings have been solid, and it was steady after a six-week hiatus, which does bode well for its future.
Now that the initial mystery is wrapping up, all eyes will be on the next storyline to see whether it can keep up the pace.

We've endured a hell of a year where nothing is surprising, and anything can happen.
And that's why the 126 fighting a volcanic eruption on 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 2 Episode 2 was insane and yet fathomable.
Sadly, not all of the team made it out alive.
Tim Rosewater is our fallen hero of the hour, and it's not the least bit surprising. Naturally, if we had to lose a character, it would be someone whom we've seen but didn't exactly know.
All we knew about Tim was that he's occasionally snarky, disliked that Michelle left, and had not warmed up to Tommy yet.
In many ways, Tim was an example of the pitfalls of 9-1-1 Lone Star Season 1. We saw him sometimes, but he and Nancy mostly disappeared into the background since anything that did focus on the paramedics revolved around Michelle.
Admittedly, I didn't even remember his or Nancy's names until recently.

We finally know what brings 9-1-1‘s Buck & Co. down to Texas for Fox’s much-hyped crossover with 9-1-1: Lone Star. And it’s pretty much Smokey the Bear’s worst nightmare.
This week’s Lone Star found the 126 dealing with volcanic activity throughout the city, and while Tommy and Owen’s teams were mostly successful, they couldn’t save everyone. Nor could they have known, as we discovered in the episode’s chilling final moments, that the lava would spark a massive forest fire — one that will require out-of-state reinforcements.

Drama Team, in association with ITV Studios and Hot, have kicked off shooting on their new thriller series “Jerusalem,” created by “Blank Bullet’s” David Ackerman.
Inspired by Ackerman’s previous career in national security and the multicultural nature of the city, “Jerusalem” unspools in the lead up to the Jewish fast of Tisha Be’av and the Muslim celebration of Eid al-Adha. It turns on Superintendent Amir, a well educated and culturally literate lawman who too often puts his work ahead of his own family,...
