Hans Schmitt, generally known as French legionnaire Jean, is beaten to dead in the harbor, after finding, in detective Lars Pöhlmann's presence in their regular pub, a rendezvous note too mysterious to take seriously by Lars. *Publican Olli and his wife Iris act equally surprised, suggesting it's about Jean's Foreign Legion past, which proves fake. Was the boastful killer hired as hit-man, maybe backtracking? He was an incorrigible womanizer, including waitress Kim who recently dumped fiance Joscha Seltmann, but that's not the only relationship his flirtation compromised.
