This series followes a family of 7, a mother named Olivia, a father named Hugh, the oldest son named Steven, the oldest daughter named Shirley, the middle daughter named Theo, and two twins named Luke and Nell. This family bought a giant house mostly runned down to clean it up sell it and move out. However the kids experience horrifying paranormal activity. One night we see eldest son Steven being rushed out of the house by his father. Steven then realizes that they were finally leaving the house. The whole family is then in the car except for their mother Olivia. They drive away. It is later informed that their mother a committed suicide. The story is then continued 20 or so years later when youngest son Luke is a drug addict in rehab. Steven wrote a book about his and his family's paranormal experiences in the hill house. The series gets very interesting when they lose another family member to suicide. As you go on the series explains more about the familys history to you until you finally understand what happened that night at the Hill House. This series is very interesting. Very dramatic. Very depressing. Very scary. This series is the best horror tv series of all time in my opinion. Definitely Mike Flanagans best work. I heavily recommend watching this show.
