Lili Reinhart has opened up about her struggles with anxiety and mental health, and in a recent interview with Variety, she got particularly candid. In addition to speaking out about depression and body dysmorphia, the Riverdale star revealed that she looked up to Demi Lovato growing up - the way that many young fans likely look up to Lili now.
"I definitely looked up to Demi Lovato," Lili said. "I remember her as being the first person [I heard] talk about depression and growing up with an eating disorder. I personally have not had an eating disorder, but her openness and honesty about her mental health was really cool to me. I was like, 'Oh, that's how I feel!' She's famous and beautiful and has money, and it's strange to think that she could still feel that way too."

Pop singer and actress Demi Lovato has updated fans on her condition via Instagram, saying she will keep fighting the addiction demons that saw her hospitalized a little over a week ago.
“I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet,” Lovato said.
“I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well. To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time.”
Lovato said she would use the downtime to recover. She was in the middle of a tour and planned to do some international work in the fall, all of which is now on hold.

“It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet,” she wrote.
She thanked the staff at Cedars-Sinai: “Without them I wouldn’t be here writing this letter to all of you.” She also thanked her fans for their support and wrote that she looks forward to “the day where I can say I came out on the other side.”

Time was never quite on Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama's side. It was January 2010 when the songstress and the That '70s Show star crossed paths for the first time to shoot a public service announcement about that year's census forms. If you asked Lovato, the material was the last thing on her mind. "To be honest, I only did it because I heard it was at his house and I thought he was really cute," she candidly admitted in her documentary, Simply Complicated. Not only was he cute, but the actor made something she didn't think was possible happen—love at first sight. "I don't really believe in that, but I believe that it...

Pop superstar Demi Lovato reportedly overdosed in her home on July 24, before being given a lifesaving dose of Narcan and getting rushed to the hospital. Sadly, one of her icons wasn't so lucky. The 7-year anniversary of Amy Winehouse's alcohol poisoning death was on July 23, just one day before Demi's hospitalization. It's a tragic coincidence, but perhaps unsurprising considering how similar their stories are. Demi, 25, was very inspired by Amy — who died at 27 — and it's easy to see why. They both have incredible vocal talent, and some of the most soulful voices of modern pop music. But it was more than just her music that drew Demi to Amy. “I've got Amy Winehouse... that I looked up to and wanted to be so badly. I wanted to be as thin as her, I wanted to sing like her, I wanted to be just like her," said Demi in her documentary Simply Complicated.

Damn. it was a good year for music.
It didn’t always feel that way, though. While Kendrick Lamar’s aforementioned fourth studio album -- which hit like a meteor on the Friday before the rapper’s monster set to close out Coachella -- much of 2017 was defined by growers rather than out of the gate jams and much of the summer passed without a bona fide “Song of” said season. Really, it's only on looking back at the cavalcade of "Best Of" lists that footnote every year that you realize how full of noteworthy sounds 2017 in particular was. And now, with the nearly ubiquitous acceptance of streaming as the primary method of song consumption, not only is the roster of artists who find both large audiences and critical acclaim more diverse and democratized than ever, but the entire idea of a publication-determined "Best Music of the Year" feels almost silly.
