The main character's last name, Ramisse, is a reference to director Harold Ramis, writer-director of Groundhog Day (1993).
Before the big ping-pong scene, Félix is scared because one of the competitors is "Nicolas Massart". A reference to the movie's director of photography, Nicolas Massart.
Just like their characters in the film, François Civil and Benjamin Lavernhe are close friends in real life. After Civil was cast, he encouraged Lavernhe to audition for the film and he got the role of Félix.
Pierre Niney was director Hugo Gélin's original choice for the role of Raphaël. Niney couldn't do the film due to scheduling conflicts with another project, so he suggested his friend François Civil for the role.
