Joe Wright is the film's producer and the film was shot in May 2018. Haley Bennett was already pregnant with Wright's child before filming. Bennett had a daughter in December of that year. Wright's ex-wife Anushka Shankar said she divorced Wright because Bennett and Wright had an affair.
