Ben Foster lost 62 pounds to portray Harry Haft during his time in Auschwitz. He then gained 50 pounds during a five week break to portray Harry in 1948.
Based on the life of Harry Haft who, a teenager, was sent to Auschwitz. Due to having prior boxing experience the Nazis put Haft in boxing "death matches'" against his fellow prisoners. The loser was executed.
Released on Holocaust Remembrance Day which fell out in 2022 on April 27th/28th.
