Like any sketch show, you may not be entertained by all the skits. I find it smart and witty. My kind of humor. Kudos.

Whether a sketch is good or great, these ladies are always a lot of fun. I'm in love with the Boppers sketch. Please find a way to bring them back.
There's always one sketch per episode I flat-out adore and the rest are fun. Bring back the Boppers!!
Old white man here, and I can't get enough of this. First-rate writing and acting in a unique format that is consistently very funny in its own right but in my opinion rises above *because* every sketch features, well, Black Ladies. They are hilarious and their sketches' topics and delivery are like nothing else I've seen. And I really appreciate that. I hope Robin Thede and company continue to write and perform and grow in this vein.

I find this show VERY funny! Hilariously witty. If you're a young black woman/man you are sure to die of laughter. As a 23 year old black woman, I can relate to a lot of the satirical remarks. I feel like this show was made for me and my girls! Big fan of the show!! I'm really offended by those who are grouping this show with the Chapelle show. The concept is completely different. Robin does a wonderful job of highlighting key black women in both mainstream and underground media in a way that they are rarely seen. i.e. Nicole Byer in the same episode as Angela Bassett (who would've thought?) Keep doing your thing Robin!! I hope this show stays on HBO for a while.

As a Black lady, I'm extremely glad this show exists because, from the performers to the writers to the crew, there's so much talent. But to be honest with y'all... the writing is still weak. I am excited for the rest of season 2 and I'll keep watching because the cast is so strong, but the writing for sure needs work.
Some sketches are straight-up confusing (for the baby shower one in season 2, it took me forever to understand who was related to who), the subplot about the apocalypse is so drawn-out that it's hard to care about, the pacing of some sketches fizzle out almost immediately, and some sketches rely SO heavily on tired stereotypes that I forget we're in 2021.
I do love the general premise of most of the sketches though, and Robin is such a comedic force. There is so much potential in this show, and I think the show could benefit from taking a wittier, more subtle approach instead of being so heavy-handed.

WHY did I not hear about this earlier??? I subscribe to HBO and have been definitely missing out. This show is ridiculously funny; the annoying woman had me literally doubled-over from laughing. This is NOT "def comedy jam" or some Wayans spin-off where shock-value replaces humor. This is intelligent, innovative AND above all hilarious.

Great first episode. I am not a black lady, but I laughed out loud a few times while I enjoyed the show's topical humor and fun energy. All the actors were awesome. I am looking forward to next week's episode.
The performances of Robin Thede and Gabrielle Dennis in S2- Episode 5, weren't just entertaining but impressive.

Honestly not every sketch lands it's mark with me, but I am not a black woman from the US of A so i must be missing some references, same thing for my spouse. Everything else is often funny enough to compare with the world offer for international sketch shows of the last 20 years (UK, Canada, ect). Honestly it makes me chuckle around the house and the intro puts a lasting smile on my face.

I really enjoyed Robin T when she was on Larry Wilmore's show on C. Central. Then I followed her news satire show where she traded in the persona she had with Larry for brash, loud in-your-face black woman persona and that didn't work so well for me. It just comes across as trying way too hard rather than letting the humor do the work.
Then came this show and I faithfully watched the first tree episodes and while there are some clever moments, they are too few and far between. To my utter dismay, Robin turned up the 'let's try too hard' knob. Tonight I looked up the imdb page and saw that the show's popularity is taking a steep dive and I was not surprised at all. I also decided to chime in after reading 3 user reviews, one hyper favorable and the other two in a similar vein to mine.
The premise sounds so good, I would love to see the shows work and excite me to come back week upon week to see what's what, but some re-thinking needs to happen, and too much Robin T dominating the sketches. if she's gonna stick with that persona, fine, but we need smaller doses. But I think she capable of doing more, much more than persona that has mostly juvenile appeal. Maybe bring on some more writing talent?

I had high hopes for this show but I was very disappointed. The first episode was so so. I decided to give it another try since sometimes pilots aren't a good representation of a show as a whole. I found myself especially bored during the second episode. Sketches are flat out boring. What a disappointment. I like the actresses in other projects and you would think this show would be good given how funny they can all be but there is a lot left to be desired. So boring, dull, unfunny. A complete waste of time. At least I briefly got to see Angela Bassett.
This was amazing so far, and I can tell it's going to get better. It has the flavor of The Tracey Ullman show meets the Mighty Boosh. I'm loving the creativity and the talents of this performance squad! Thank you HBO for releasing this alongside Random Acts of Flyness.
I have to admit that while starting to watch the first episode I was a bit prejudicial, thinking how tired I was of hearing women referred to as 'b*****s' & 'ho's' & all the other modern vernacular. I very soon changed my mind about this show however. The cast are all spot on with their character portrayals & the whole show is knowing & self aware. I think it is clever & very entertaining. I am looking forward to what these ladies poke fun at in future episodes.

I've seen every episode of this show more than once and I still keep laughing. The sketches are so clever and original. I'm a gay white man who grew up in the ghetto so I get all the lingo and references that are used. Robin Thede and her girls are brilliant in every sketch taking on a wide range of black women characters from ghetto fabulous to boujee.

THIS SHOW IS FUNNY AND RELATABLE. HOWEVER THERE ARE TIMES WHEN ITS JUST TO MUCH RAUNCHY LANGUAGE AND TOPICS. I WISH IT WAS SOMETHING I COULD WATCH WITH MY CHILDREN SINCE IT BY US FOR US. BUT ITS NEW AND THEY HAVE TIME TO IMPROVE. I LOVE ALL THE SUPRISE GUEST THAT ARE ON THE SHOW. IN ORDER TO LIKE THIS SHOW YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SILLY YET DARK SENSE OF HUMOR.

I loved every minute of every episode. I always knew Robin Thede was funny but never knew she was This funny! I'm so sad as I just finished watching the last episode and am hoping hbo will order a new season.
What this show reminds me of is the old Stevie TV show with the late great Stevie Ryan. I loved her and that show and never understood why she never got renewed, then she killed herself. Such a waste.
So, let's have more of this show and soon! Mad that hbo only bought 6 episodes for quality comedy such as this.
Was looking forward to enjoying this and was highly disappointed tried to hard to be funny the jokes didn't land
This is a show that's written to speak to black female millennials (23-38 in 2019). It is a smart, feminist, comedy show that touches upon plenty of pop culture topics in a variety of comedic sketches. Plenty of cameos by famous black female actresses straight out of the gate. Honestly, I love it! Far too overdue.

I wanted to go out of my way & support black sisters but idek wtf is going in this show half the time. It's not even laugh out loud funny it's more "oh wow, cool.." I guess the celebrity appearances are cool. It's entertaining enough but i wouldn't call it a comedy show.

I see how ratings can go either way, but for my sense of humor, this is perfection and better than SNL for me. They are just the right level of over the top where it's not cheesy. The cast is awesome and the guest appearances are all hilarious.

I love this show more with every episode. Some of my favorite sketches have been Sad Teacher, the recurring Church and Couple-where-husband-can't-say-yes sketches, the Patti Labelle sketch - I watch them over and over. I still just wish they could bring back The Boppers (or at least put that sketch on youtube)!
As a white man I found this to be mostly funny. I have to be honest and say that there are some sketches that missed the mark completely for me, but the majority of them had me either giggling or laughing out loud.
The actresses are just amazing. I had to rewind some scenes trying to see a crack in their roles and I simply couldn't. Great job from everyone involved.
