A Merry Holiday (2019)
Balance missing
In general it was a movie with a good message, but it didn't have enough balance. I would have preferred that the Christmas celebration also mentioned the religious part of how and why Christians celebrate CHRISTmas. I work in an international school and we learn to appreciate different cultures and faiths. In my classroom parents were invited to share about theirs in special occasions: Diwali, Christmas, Hanukkah, Eid, also Carnival in the nice child's version. We also said not everyone had a religion and that also needed to be respected and accepted. So I would have liked to see the balance here as well. We say Happy Holidays but are sometimes constricted about saying Merry Christmas because it's 'religious'. Why?
Christmas with a Prince: Becoming Royal (2019)
So - so
There were a several glitches in, e.g. Proper use of royalty titles or when one of the royals was signing a document and she was near but not touching the paper with the pen.
I would have loved for Trisha to wear that same dress but in white like any real royal bride would have done. Why that horrendous colour? Yuk! Absolutely NOT royal!
Also, I don't understand how Trisha can be so kind with her patients yet so snobby with any type of authority. It didn't match!
Miranda's acting was so evil and not that good as an actress. From who did she inherit such an evil personality? Surely not from her mum. I wonder if her mum has other children. Otherwise, who will make sure the treaty is not compromised in the future?
It's an okay movie, but not in the calibre of other ones I saw today with a real Christmas storyline.
Christmas with a Prince (2018)
No cancer ward...
No cancer ward would ever permit that their patients, particularly children, would be treated like that moving them somewhere else just for a Prince nor anyone else. As a cancer patient myself I know how well are we taken care of and the precautions taken as we become immunosuppressant. Also, chemotherapy makes you loose your hair most of the times and no special make up was used on those young actors to make them even look sick as with cancer.
As someone else said, you hardly even stay at hospital for a broken leg unless it's completely shattered like with one of my sisters. Prince Alexander would have had a private jet or private airplane to take him back him.
What the female Dr., Natasha, said about what children with cancer go through is true, it's very hard for themselves and their families.
The good messages around forgiveness and second chances was nice. I give these stars for the actors efforts, but the hospital plot was not that good. Sorry.🙁
Royal Pains: Medusa (2010)
Cuba?
Why do producers/directors have to say it was in Cuba when it was in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷?🙄
