Bad portrayal of history of Copernicus

I don't know why modern writers love so much rewriting history so it fits their narrative. Copernicus worked for Church most of his life, he sent his works to the Pope. Also with scene about burning heretics, it did not happen. There were some witch hunts, but they were neighbour against neighbour where some blamed the other, not Church being like Communists or Nazis and looking around trying to find heretics to burn. Life of Copernicus is very interesting, idk why Japanese feel the need to change it all so it becomes interesting? It all feels sad, that there is portrayal of my country and they do such a bad job about it and people everywhere are praising it as historic media.
