Air (2023)
Perfect results count - not a perfect process
A must watch for Managers and Entrepreneurs.. A strong gut feel backed by data and insights and the passion to chase down your goal against the odds and the power to convince the powers that be and bring teams alive with a ground breaking opportunity of a lifetime. It's could be a shoe, a garment, a product that can create a legacy of a lifetime. The individuals will be forgotten but the Vision to bring it to life will make it immortal.
A cast of very powerful actors but Matt and Viola and the 10 principles of Nike highlighted throughout the film and used to explain the actions of its characters stood out. This is my new go to movie to get recharged.
Bhramam (2021)
Casting Improvisation Execution
Bhraman notably fails on casting.. While I think Prithviraj and Shankar pulled through however Mamta, Unni Mukundan and Rashi were poor choices. They didn't fit into the characters naturally to justify them.. Personally I think Asha Sharath (Drishyam fame) would have cracked this better..
There were gaps in Andhadhun's story telling which was gripping and left viewers second guessing.. Bhramam was almost like the tutorial class to the prequel. Too much clarification and explanations.. infact all my doubts from Hindi class got resolved after this.
Organ racketeers are brutal.. Jagadeesh was comical and sympathetic..
Worse part.. a Malayalam song in a Paris club sung by Prithviraj and some cheap foreigners for extras..
#Home (2021)
There's a promise in all of Us
An amazing watch. So often we lose patience with our elders' inability to adapt to technology. Growing up the transition from a typewriter to a computer and we felt smart. Today we feel left behind by the next generation.. be it the apps or the new generation lingo.. It might not be possible to keep up with all but then we only need to find the goodness in ourselves..
Indrans truly deserves an award and standing ovation for his portrayal of all of us.. leaving us teary eyed.
Kuruthi (2021)
A reflection of the times
Kuruthi reflects the polarization of our society where one prefers to trust a stranger of the same demographic than the next door neighbour. A tale of perpetual hate that tries to give justifications for our shortcomings and understanding of our faith and righteousness. May better sense prevail over the bridge of insecurities for mankind. Prithviraj and Roshan Mathew have excelled with great support from Mamukkoya, Shine Tom, Srindaa and Murali Gopy.
