Hunters (2020)
this should of been a movie.
This show is very good, with a basic story line that done right could of been one of the best of all time. the only thing that lets this down is the stupid game show style given to the first couple of episodes. this also touches on a lot of very important true aspects of the Nazis and the operation paperclip. i highly recommend watching this.
Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009)
An easy watch but predictable
In the wake of Disney+ i have been made to watch many bad 2000's shows by the wife and then it comes to this! Hannah Montana the movie, so this currently has a rating of 4.4 but i feel this is a little harsh. lots of hard work has gone into this film and the musical score isn't half bad. how ever the story line is week and predictable it does have comical moments. i was also a little mad that Taylor Swifts cameo was cast aside. i would recommend this to all 12 year old girls.
The Lion King (2019)
I the jungle the lion sleeps
In a screen filled with mainly adults trying to re live there youth. The CGI was amazing not alot of difference with the original story line but at the end of the day why fix whats not broken. Some of the acting felt a little soulless almost asif they was only there for the pay check but at the end of the day it's still an incredible film.
IO (2019)
I really got my hopes up for this one!
After watching the trailer that i give 10 out of 10 for fooling everyone i was hoping for an epic film like the Martian but in reverse but i was so wrong! This film is so boring but i try to always see them though. Don't waste your time with this one!
Sausage Party (2016)
it was so so...
This film was not great at all! i don't think it should get a one or two stars. that animation team did a great job and Seth Rogan had some funny moments but i really wouldn't pay money to watch this! i only recommend to 18 year old stoners with very little taste in entertainment.
Eye in the Sky (2015)
Won't somebody think of the children!
Brilliant on the edge of your seat film and the first time i have spent 2 hours just wanting to see someone buy some bread. Amazing acting from everyone in the film. Highly recommended
Under the Dome: The Endless Thirst (2013)
no research at all!
I'm enjoying this TV show its really worth a watch, nothing award winning but a good watch non the less. however this episode is very bad, as a diabetic i can tell that they did no research at all! this diabetic woman that is superposed to be a Dr is going to die if she doesn't get some insulin immediately. well i can tell you that if i only ate sugar to keep my levels okay i could easily survive with out insulin for months not hours!
Ready Player One (2018)
hate to love this! fan of the book?
So, I have just left the movies after watching Ready Player One. let me start by saying i am a big fan of this book well actually this is my Favourite book of all time and if you love this book half as much as me you will be in for a shock, there is hardly anything that they kept the same. if your soul purpose of watching this is to see the book come to life then you may as well stay at home. however if you have not read the book then you are in for a real treat! as a film in its own right it is brilliant. edge of your seat action from the first minutes. the acting in this is also brilliant, don't get me wrong this will not be wining any academy awards next year. but its perfect for an Easter weekend trip to the movies. i hope you enjoy Ready Player One. GAME OVER
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015)
A huge disappointment!
this film had so much potential. the first film wasn't to bad at all and many people have told me that the books are brilliant but this lets it all down. the plot line is non-existent and the acting is very bad! with just under two months until the 3rd film comes out lets hope that it has a good ending to the films. 5/10 for the scorch trials.
Rick and Morty (2013)
brilliantly offensive!
when i first started watching this i thought it was hell, this is shocking. But it grows on you. its funny & offensive and has some brilliant story lines. if you're an American dad of family gut fan you will like this. a little drier then the others but worth a watch. i will be giving Rick and Morty an 8 out of 10
The Big Bang Theory: The Long Distance Dissonance (2017)
what the fans have been waiting for
As a long time big bang theory fan this episode is just what we have been waiting for. after Amy begins to work away Sheldon rekindles an old friendship with his former admirer Dr Ramona Nowitzki and Amy doesn't like its at all. this is a brilliant season finally and one of the best endings to a TV show of all time 9/10
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
wow!
Mad Max what a film! lets keep this short, its amazing from start to finish the cast is amazing and it has a brilliant story line a must watch by all. probably one of the best action films of all time. now i cant wait to watch the original 3 film. 9/10
performance 9/10 originality 9/10 direction 10/10 story 10/10 ending 8/10
Finding Dory (2016)
Finding Dory, not to bad but not the best
So last night me and my partner sat down to watch Finding Dory. This film wasn't the best at all as far as Disney Pixar films go this one was in the bottle half. it was full of plot-holes but never the lass not girlfriend did enjoy it, i myself like to put it into the category of easy Sunday watch. i would not of paid to go see this in the cinemas and don't think it was as good as the first one. I really hope that this is the last finding Nemo film. 7/10
Trainspotting (1996)
an emotional roller-coaster
this film had so many highs and lows i can completely understand why this it is a 90's cult classic! what a incredible performance by Ewan McGregor, a Danny Boyle masterpiece this film is well worth a watch but has some very disturbing and gruesome scenes. I can completely understand why this film has such a high rating but unfortunately due to personal reasons that i do try keep separate from my movie world i can't give this film a higher rating then a 8/10
performance 9/10 originality 8/10 direction 8/10 story 7/10 ending 9/10
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
better then the first!
It's not very often that this is the case but Guardians of the galaxy vol.2 is better then the first this film builds so much more on the back ground story of the first you learn of the story behind Peter Quill's parents and many more on the characters. this film has a much stronger and less predictable story line to the first one. the film has more comical moments then the first and as soon as i had left the cinema i wanted to go back again! you don't have to be 15 or into superheros to enjoy this film it really is good and keeps this incredible Marvel film series going strong. 9/10
performance 9/10 originality 9/10 direction 8/10 story 9/10 ending 9/10
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Marvel at its finest!
An absolutely brilliant film as the 10th film in the incredible Marvel series. it follows the story of Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) a man that was abducted from earth as a child and raised by aliens, when he comes in to the possession of a mysterious orb that in the wrong hands come lead to ultimate power. this film helps bring in the power gem one of the six infinity stones and builds the story towards the Avengers infinity war film (2019) this film is a great feel good film and perfect for all the family. Chris Pratt plays Peter exceptionally well and brings so much comedy to the role. I can't wait for the sequel and hope its as good as the first 8/10
performance 8/10 originality 8/10 direction 9/10 story 8/10 ending 6/10
Vikings (2013)
A gripping show!
so i started watching vikings last night and i had very good but not the best first impressions. this show is defiantly a grower with the second episode better then the first and the third better then the second and so on, but i have to say this show is really getting good i'm currently on episode 6 and i'm in love with the show. I love that the show is very historically correct and is also based on the life of an actual viking warrior that lived 1200 years ago. This program was suggested to me by a friend and i suggest it to you! 9/10 and i believe this has the potential to be a 10/10!!!
Vikings: Rites of Passage (2013)
lots of penitential
A brilliant first episode to a new TV show for me! With a good lead actor and a very entertaining villain. I strongly hope this show carries on at such a high level! The story line of this new show is very strong based on the story of the first viking worriers to make the trip to the west and invade England i also believe this show to be very educational when it comes to knowledge of the viking gods. 9/10
The Prestige (2006)
Are you watching closely
The Prestige, it's unbelievably good. This film is full of twists and terns from start to finish with amazing performances from an all star cast! One of the best friendship turned rivalry films or all time a must see by all with a brilliant ending i can't urge people enough to watch this 9/10
performance 9/10 originality 10/10 direction 8/10 story 9/10 ending 10/10
The Big Bang Theory: Unaired Pilot (2006)
what could of been!
This is crazy! i'm a massive TBBT fan and am so happy that this cast is not what makes up the big bang that we all know and love. The only way i can bring myself to watch this is to imagine it as a parallel universe after all that's what Sheldon would do! In this Leonard is a lot more outgoing, Katie the girl that's suppose to be some-sort of penny is a awful, And Sheldon well he has has several sexual partners and is an "ass woman" this just makes me feel uncomfortable. watch this or don't it wont change your like at all. it wasn't aired for a reason! 4/10
Midnight in Paris (2011)
wonderfully original!
An amazingly original story where a struggling writer (Owen Wilson) on holiday finds himself traveling back in time to the 1920's each night at the stroke of midnight, where he encounters the greatest writers of the early nineteen hundred and soon falls in love despite his fiancée back home. a great film to watch. directed by Woody Allen this really shows the fascination he has with France. 7/10
performance 9/10 originality 9/10 direction 9/10 story 7/10 ending 6/10
Intouchables (2011)
An unexpected masterpiece
So last night i watched Untouchable for the first time. its currently number 37 on IMDb's top 250 movies list and my god does it deserve to be there. this true story is not only extremely heartwarming but also very funny i'll be honest i'm normally not the biggest fan of international films that are not in English as it often takes twice the concentration but this really is the exception. the lead actor Omar is a brilliant actor and extremely funny. this film really does bring a smile to your face and can't express how much people should give this film a try!!! 9/10
performance 9/10 originality 9/10 direction 8/10 story 10/10 ending 8/10
The Artist (2011)
not for all!
love the idea of this film! the film tells a wonderful story with no vocals, it takes the world back to a time of silent movies but i thought it was to serious for a modern day silent movie missing the comical aspect. i thought i could of watched this film on fast forward and still of completely understood the story line (that wasn't that great) at some points it was hard to keep concentration. There was some great performances and can understand why this film took 6 Oscars and is very popular with many people but was not for me. 5/10
performance 6/10 originality 6/10 direction 5/10 story 5/10 ending 6/10
The Hurt Locker (2008)
overrated!
lets keep this short and simple, the hurt locker i have been waiting to see this film for a long time and i was massively disappointed. the performances by Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie & Brian Geraghty where superb and the director used some brilliant angles and slow motion shots. the first 15 minutes of the film where incredible 10/10 but then that stopped. the story became unrealistic the EOD's where using snipers, roaming though the desert unassisted & leading raids though buildings. 5/10
performance 8/10 originality 5/10 direction 7/10 story 4/10 ending 3/10
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
the best Jim Carrey film by far!
as far as Jim Carrey's films go I'm not the biggest fan, there I said it. I mean they're good Sunday afternoon films to have on in the background when the family is around but they're no masterpiece. Well this one is! the story is about a couple that after there relationship turns sour they decide the erase each other from there memory's. soon after Joel Barish (Jim Carrey) changes his mind about the choices he's made a frantically try's to grasp onto the love they both had. an outstanding performance from Jim Carrey and an incredible ending this film really deserves its Oscar 9/10
performance 8/10 originality 10/10 direction 8/10 story 9/10 ending 8/10
