Manoj is a rustic village lad. he doesnt get along with his father who is a strict traditional Indian man. His only aspiration is to become a singer. he often dreams about an imaginary girl to be his wife.
One night his life changes for ever when he is thrown out of the family because he breaks all the rules being caught in the arms of a stripper. Out on the streets, he runs into an old friend. He introduces him to a Music director. His life changes. he becomes a star. he misses his home and wants to go but fears the ire of his father who would never allow him back. One day he finally gathers courage and goes home. He is welcomed only on one condition: to marry a girl of his father choice. he agrees for this arranged marriage thinking he would make his father happy and would compensate for all the damage that was caused to his reputation in the village. But destiny has something else for him!! the girl turns out to be completely opposite. he repents. Surprisingly one day the imaginary girl shows up in real life. Now should he follow his heart or the live trying to keep the traditions of arranged marriage? This film brings out interesting elements of Indian culture, language, customs, tradition of arranged marriage, love & role of women as they intertwine in a normal man's life.
