While Greta Gerwig’s directing career skyrocketed with Barbie, it shouldn’t be overlooked that the screenplay for the year’s biggest movie was co-written by Marriage Story‘s Noah Baumbach. Baumbach would also produce the film alongside Gerwig and Barbie star Margot Robbie. Baumbach’s career with Netflix consists of three features in addition to Marriage Story, including White Noise and The Meyerowitz Stories, starring Adam Sandler.

Baumbach is now tapped to helm his fourth project with the streamer. He’ll be reuniting with Sandler and pairing him with George Clooney for the new project, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The details for the movie’s plot has yet to be revealed, but Baumbach is also on board as a producer on the movie. He will be joined by Sony’s Amy Pascal and David Heyman as producers. Heyman had also worked with Baumbach on Marriage Story and also produced Barbie.

Sandler has been a trailblazer of sorts as he had signed a prominent deal with Netflix when the streamer started pumping out original films. Sandler’s career with the streaming platform includes films like The Ridiculous 6, the Murder Mystery movies with Jennifer Aniston, Sandy Wexler, as well as Baumbach’s The Meyerowitz Stories and You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. Most recently, you can hear Sandler’s voice as a the main lizard character in the new Netflix animated film, Leo, in which he co-stars with Bill Burr.

Meanwhile, Clooney has a new directorial effort set for Christmas Day with The Boys in the Boat. His new film is about the 1936 University of Washington rowing team that competed for gold at the Summer Olympics in Berlin. Clooney spoke about the inspirational true story, saying, The Boys in the Boat is about strong, tough kids. But they were poor and hungry. They’re rowing because it’s the only way they could stay in college. The stakes were much higher for them, and it gave them an edge. These guys at the University of Washington taking on the seniors, then taking on the fraternity kids, and then taking on the Nazis. Every film we’ve ever seen that has an underdog in it, you’re always rooting for.”
