January is National Mentoring Month and 2020 NACE Academy of Fellows inductee Roxanne Hori says that for those starting out in their careers, watching what makes someone successful can be key in growing your own career! #WednesdayWisdom "Perhaps one of the most important things I learned early on in my career is to observe the behaviors of others who are successful, how people respond to them, and how they are perceived. After college, I worked in professional services firms; in both organizations, I worked with senior leaders. I was very green. I observed how these individuals communicated. I didn’t do a lot of things right when I was getting started, but never did any of my bosses 'rake me over the coals;' instead, I got guidance and some good-natured ribbing. I took those lessons and applied them as I progressed in my career."
