This is the current view outside my dining room window. As I sit here with Hurricane Helene pounding the coast, I can't help but reflect on another storm we faced not too long ago—the challenge of getting millions of students online at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Like this hurricane, the pandemic forced us into uncharted waters, with little time to prepare and no room for error. During those frantic months, my team and I worked around the clock to ensure 800,000 New York City students could continue their education remotely.  It was exhausting, sometimes chaotic, but we knew our "why." We knew that these efforts would make a profound impact on students' futures. That sense of purpose kept us going, much like how we prepare and persevere in the face of natural storms. In both cases, the lesson is the same: resilience. Whether it’s bracing for a hurricane or adapting to a global crisis, the key is to stay focused on the bigger picture, lean on your team, and never lose sight of the mission. Stay safe, stay prepared, and keep weathering the storms that come your way—whether in business, in life, or from Mother Nature. #Resilience #WeatheringTheStorm #Leadership
