Congratulations to Yilu Liu, UT-ORNL Governor's Chair Professor for Power Grids, for winning her fourth R&D 100 Award in five years. These awards highlight pioneers in science and technology. This year's award recognizes Liu's work with the InertiaMeter, a new method for calculating a power grid’s inertia in real time. Data from the InertiaMeter can prevent outages as the grid relies more and more on renewable energy sources. https://lnkd.in/ewHXKnF8
