Some of these children may encounter trust issues in adult relationships, which can lead to detached attachments in relationships, while some others may experience codependency in their relationships due to the desire and need to feel securely attached to others. These children will need to heal from their childhood experiences, and the years of alienation and uncertainty in order to reconnect with themselves, and heal the needs within them that were not met.
