An Itoh Peony is a cross between a herbaceous peony (think of your grandma’s peony) and a tree peony (which produces immense flowers and has strong stems), combining the best features of each. 3. Beautiful mounded shrub after the blooms are done. I grow this variety for the beautiful leaves even more than its flowers. It’s so strong and perfectly mounded. 4.
