I love anchor charts! I think they are super helpful and they make certain concepts easier for children to understand, especially if they are visual learners. It is important for students to make personal connections while they're reading. Also by making connections, writing can be tied into reading.

Teel's Treats
This pin is from a third grade teacher who lets her students play boggle quietly when they are done with their reading work. I would use it in my classroom and use the letters that make up the vocabulary words from the story that they are currently reading. I think it's such a neat idea because it integrates reading and spelling. Students like any type of game during the school day.

Awesome Second Grade Anchor Chart for pair reading! It reminds the students what to do or say when reading with a buddy. I can use this to hang up in my classroom's reading section. Students will like that it is easy to read and has quick reminders on reading rules.
