Stone Parquet was an unusual but effective choice for the floor of a public thoroughfare in Dorset House, a commercial space in Hong Kong. Designer Stanley Kwok chose it precisely because, like the cobblestone streets of Old Europe that inspired our texture, its non-linear surface almost forces people to slow down and appreciate their surroundings, rather than rushing all over the place.
