Flowers Of The Snow Poem by Kelly Boutin

Flowers Of The Snow

We're flowers that bloom in the snow
Flowers make me feel at home
I'm not sad, I'm alone

Flowers that see what's up ahead
But turn our heads and bloom instead
Flowers that see what's on the horizon
Flowers that just want to be alive in

A dark, broken, sunless world
I see the sad, the sun won't shine
I see that is why we cry
Into a flurry of pure white snow

Flowers that bloom in the middle of winter
Flowers that really don't want to be here
But the different color brings a glimmer
A flicker of happy in the sad air
It makes us feel like we are somewhere
where we can remember why we cared

A dark, broken, sunless world
I see the sad, the sun won't shine
I see that is why we cry

Flowers that bloom in the cold
Flowers that make me feel more at home
I'm not sad, I'm just a lone
Flower in the snow

Flowers that bloom long after autumn
Flowers that don't want to be forgotten
Flowers that long to feel alive
So in the snow they blossom
