    Become a young ambassador of the Mediterranean!


    Dear Student, hello from Lyon! If you feel concerned by challenges surrounding the Mediterranean and if you want to get involved in a sustainable future, come and join the UMJA, the Union of Mediterranean Young Ambassadors (Union Mditerranenne des Jeunes Ambassadeurs in French) proposed by the RMEI network. We are five French engineer students of the Ecole Centrale de Lyon and we are currently working on the Med-Tracking project the secure transportation of goods on the Mediterranean Sea. We would like to encourage students all around the Mediterranean region and beyond (Black Sea included), to bring off several projects addressing the many challenges that arise in the Mediterranean region. The idea is to think over these issues together and find tangible solutions. We have started a list of challenges to be met around the Mediterranean Sea: Transportation of goods (Med-Tracking) Forest fires (Cindyfire) Water management (UMJAE) Entrepreneurship (junior enterprises) Pollution Energy Risk management

    We need you to take up a challenge of your choice that you find critical in your area. Would you like to take part in, or coordinate a project in a field you feel especially interested in? We can put you in relation with other students who are interested in the same themes as you are! If you want to commit even more, come to the next Michelangelo Workshops which will take place in mid-April 2012 in Civitavecchia near Rome. It is a gathering of students and experts from all around the Mediterranean region who, during conferences, present their work concerning Mediterranean challenges.
