    This robust continuous track tensioner is a PLC controlled system consisting of two vertically mounted track carriages with polyurethane 'V' shaped pads. A variety of pad profiles are available to accommodate different product sizes. The right track is fixed to the frame while the left track is moved by the grip cylinders. The design is open on one side, allowing access for easy loading of product on to the tracks. The system is capable of automatically maintaining constant levels of tension between 7 tons and 15 tons according to the operator setting. Reduced levels of tension are possible, but with setting accuracy reduced by up to 20%.

    ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC POWER UNIT

    The power unit is contained within a steel box frame. It features a twin power-train design. This provides redundancy in an emergency, allowing the tensioner to maintain full load capacity but at up to half the rated speed. Power requirements The maximum electrical supply required is 205 kW, 3 phase, 440VAC, 50/60Hz. The kW requirement may be reduced dependant on the required tension load and lay rate.
