A. Cooperation with BFP The Fire Code and its IRR are designed to achieve fire safety in the community. To this end, inspections are to be conducted by elements of the BFP. The Chief, BFP shall determine the adequacy of measures for life safety from fire in accordance with the provisions of the Fire Code and this Implementing Rules and Regulations. In cases of practical difficulty or unnecessary hardship especially in the existing building, the Chief, BFP may grant exceptions to this Code, but only when it is evident that reasonable safety is thereby assured. These Implementing Rules and Regulations shall take effect 30 days after publication of the last installment in a newspaper of general circulation.
