As a result, the orchestra enrollment doubled during my 5 years as orchestra director Daily lessons: were based on local, state and national music standards, supplemented core academic content, and provided accommodations for special education students Achieved excellent scores at performance evaluations Managed orchestra program finances, balanced the orchestra account, ordered supplies, and coordinated and initiated fundraisers with prizes geared toward orchestra enrichment and camaraderie Coordinated parent and student volunteers for field trips and performances Effectively facilitated student/teacher and parent/teacher communication through the orchestra website, phone and email communication Actively partook in professional development through district, state, and national opportunities
