Follow Philip J Philip J Matras Hi Chan Yes to your first question and your second question WPQ record must support ALL pipe diameters/positions. Just review articles of ASME Section IX (can be complex so have adequate personnel review). 5 days ago Like1

Follow Imran Imran Pathan Dear Chan, both the manual and automatic weldings are in actual two different welding process. Hence for these two saperate proces we should have two different WPS. Also each WPS qualified with PQR, specifies the range of size qualified. Hence, each WPQ should have its qualified WPS for required different welding parameters. 3 days ago Like1

Follow Bill Bill Quinn Imran, ASME IX allows the combination of one or more processes in a WPS. The PQR may also be for more than one process, or several PQR may be used to support one WPS. 2 days ago Like2
