Awards and death


He receive/Nobel Prize in Medicine/with Florey and Chain /1945/ Gustav V. He also receive Hunterian Professorship award His wife died in 1949. He married again and 2 years later he died in 1955 from heart attack.

Curiosities
The penicillin was considered the most important finding in the 20th century. It has already saved 200 millions lives. There is a story that his father saved Winston Churchill's father from die and thats how he could pay his studies. It was made a stamp (Faro)
