McDental Networking Project

McDental is a growing franchise of general dentistry. Their founder and owner, Mark Capper, has always wanted to help rural communities worldwide. In some cases, there are more than one dental office in a country. McDental understands the need for dental healthcare and the effects that dental healthcare has on the general health of an individual. Because of this McDental is working with many non-profit healthcare agencies to eventually create mobile dental healthcare offices. The mobile unit will be powered by the cleanest Diesel technology on the market today. Power to operate the lab will consist of:
Ability to plug into any power grid globally Solar and wind generation as power backups Backup bio-diesel generation

Diesel is being used because of its availability and the potential of creating your own bio-diesel in areas where only vegetable or animal oils exist. The mobile units will be connected via multiple services.

Network Technicians Responsibilities

You have been given the job of putting together two information servers, one lab server, six PCs, and an IP video surveillance system. PCFriends, a nonprofit group supplies refurbished PCs, laptops and servers to other nonprofit organizations throughout the world. PCFriends will be supplying the equipment needed for the mobile offices. After further discussions, PCFriends is recommending the use of laptops instead of PCs due to power consumption. McDental agreed. So what is being supplied for each mobile unit is:
6 Laptops 2 Windows servers 1 Laboratory server ( LINUX)

Any network equipment needed for the project is being donated by Cisco and Linksys.
