ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Heraldo V. Richards is an associate professor in the
School of Education at Austin Peay State University,
where he directs a state-funded program to recruit
and prepare culturally and linguistically diverse
students for careers in education.
Ayanna F. Brown is a graduate student in Peabody
College at Vanderbilt University, and is interested in
issues of racial consciousness.
Timothy B. Forde, an assistant professor at Buffalo
State College, is interested in technology-supported
classrooms that promote higher order thinking skills
among students from diverse backgrounds.
